Default billj's first MOA build

Well i have come over to the dark side, this is my first attempt at a moa. Here is what i have so far.

UGC Fastback MOA V2 chassis ( thanks Juan) This is #2 of 4 of these chassis produced before Juan shut down Underground crawlers. As far as i know im the only one using berg axles. (The other guys are using XR-10 axles.)

Berg axles from ckrc
Vp zero ack knuckles
RCInovations over the axle steering kit
RC Bros lightweight 4th gear lockers
Super 300's from SDS Customz
Mann hard 2nd and 3rd gears
Br00d 40t R/T motors
FXR
CC BEC 7.2v
Punk Dig
Hitec 7950th (ignore the jr8711)
T1e rear links
nova low clearance front links
Lunsford ti uppers
Rear lockouts (JeepinDoug)
Vp Dh procomps fronts w/ 2 bullets
Vp SLW V4 rear
Sedonas
Nova DD foams trimmed inner/stock outer
DX3R w/3100sr rx

Here is what i started with while waiting for the chassis

Built some traxxas big bores, not sure if i will use these or the losis

Modified the jeepindoug c-cups to fit the mini-t springs, on my redneck lathe.

Also clocked the axles 20 deg.

Got the chassis last monday could only work on two nights. Had to go out of town for Thanksgiving.

got it to a roller buy tues eve.

Got home today and this was in the mailboxGotta love early x-mas!!

Got her running still need to make panels and alot of tuning

Any advice or comments are more than welcome. Like i said this is my first moa, and i know very little about them. Thanks, Bill

Looks nice. Why didn't you use the shock mounts on the chassis?

The front mounts are Jeepindoug 6mm standoffs(just the ball part, not the spacer) ,the rear are the stock Losi standoffs . I have to get some more jeepindoug's for the rear.I ordered some 5mm's for the traxxas big bores then i can install them. I couldnt use the stock shock mounts they were too far inboard. The shock would hit the transmission cases.

Got some more done today, think she is ready for some real rocks. Made some practice panels, put Sedonas all the way around. She weighs in at 6.08lbs RTR. Guess i have to put her on a diet

Awesome Build. I think I like that chassis better than most of the other bodyless I have seen. What brand are the bent rod ends on the upper chassis end of the links?

Thanks i really dig the Fastback chassis too, too bad it is no more I believe the rod ends are Axial 3mm. I just had a bunch of stuff i pieced the upper links together with.

Very cool Bill Glad to see you were able to get the shocks working...they are inboard quite a bit, but the XR-10 is built that way.

Hope Tyler is feeling better as the days go by

The shocks are a challenge with these axles, Ill work it out. Tyler is great, thanks for asking. You would never know 3 weeks ago he had neurosurgery. Modern medicine is amazing

I almost hate to look at this thing since I know I will never have one. Did you end up robbing you Fastback, or is it still in tact?

Looks awesome Bill!
