Those cases are almost too pretty to put on the rocks!!

Is their a reason why the lower side of the cases aren't beveled like the top?

I bet it's left alone for a wear buffer. As much as he drives they will be beveled naturally before long

Not a knock on your current tubes but a challenge to make some even better ones.

Send some napkin sketches my way. Lead time is 6-9 months. lol

It wouldn't be a true Berg or comp crawler for that matter if it didn't have some file rash and aftermarket mods. They rear case will look almost pristine but the front is getting its underbelly hacked. It took a long time just to reproduce stock cases. I can't imagine the back and forth time a custom design would have taken. At that point I'd have been the only ones able to use them (if I sold/sell any).

It's a possibility if a bunch of guys (20+) want to pony up ~$300 per pair of complete cases in advance. You are first in the virtual line.

The little gear cover think would look really good in carbon. It would sexy in contrast with the billet cases.

That would look cool. Anyone make them with machined tabs to support the screw hole?

How is school going?

Thanks.

The screw hole in mine are not in the stock location. I could mod ones with no hole though.

Default Bye Bye Berg

It's official. I drive a Berg-ish. After many years of trusty service, yesterday my rig shed her remaining stock Berg parts...and she couldn't be happier. The rear case swap was a few straight forward drill holes and done. The front case was another animal altogether.

Half of the new rear assembled.

Old front case. Wow was it trashed.

Alignment of the front link mount, servo mount and axle. I've never seen this view of the front end before. Kinda cool.

The old belly plate.

Side by side with the new belly plate.

This was painful to watch.

Almost done girl, hang in there.

Old vs new left to right with unmodified new in the back right.

From the inside.

The short front half installed.

More pain.

Front long half installed.

All geared up with the sweetest Berg-ish gears on earth by RCBros! Get some on SALE today!

Looks like the side of an antebellum warship "Old Aluminum Sides". The extra screw in the bottom center of the side plate keeps the plate from pivoting down on the rear screw should it come loose.

Glamor Shot time. Enjoy. It's been a long time coming...4 years.

As Mac Lethal would say..."Done, that rig is done."

Time to modify some Blue Voodoos and then get my rock rash on.

Thanks for watching.
