GREAT driving George! I wish I would have had a chance to see more of the BYB's drive. You guys are all very impressive...
Thanks again for the G6 pit stop too, you guys rock!

Let us know how your testing turns out on the link mount...

I feel the upper link mount is ready.

I managed a second before our finals course and beat the hell out of my rig for a fourth place overall and nothing moved. Even with 5.75" tires I feel like very planted on my carpet board and the rocks.

I was actually a place back in both spots.

.. but it still doesn't change my impression on the mount.. It works.

Good job on the 5th finish! Thats pretty sweet.

Car is looking good. I know you will beat on this thing. Also, knowing that you drive this car a ton it will be good to know what you think.

Glad youre liking it.

What do you mean that you were back two spots? Adjusted down two holes on the mount?

I am agreeing with you. The extra anti squat is really bringing this car to life!

Scores weren't posted yet so I was going off of memory. I finished 3rd on the day and 5th in the season.

The mount was a set and forget part. I haven't touched it since I first set it up and no regrets. It's doing everything I need it to.

I even sold a couple locally. Are they done yet?

I think I have the final piece of the puzzle in hand.

I got the rear "knuckle weight" mount completed. I wanted to be able to run up to 2oz and I wanted to be able to put the weight exactly where I want it. No matter if you run .2oz or 2oz, you will be able to stuff the weight all the way to the face of the wheel and down as low as possible.

The mounts utilize the rings from my existing knuckle weights. I cut the rings in half for mine, assuming you would also, it makes it really nice since the rings are essentially half price

The next couple of pictures are exaggerated to show how adjustable the mount is.

Clocked back wards

Clocked forwards

Showing full extension of the mount

Showing mount fully retracted

I blew up my 7980 servo this week so I went to the back up 7950. That means that I had to switch out mounts also. When I was switching out the mounts I thought it would be real nice to not have to deal with ever moving it, just locktite the screws in there and fogetaboutem.

I came up with a new mount. This one will fit the 7980 or the 7950. Just one mount to buy, mount and use no matter what. I also ditched the back corner since it was near impossible to get a screw back there anyhow. Little less weight

Whats it take to make a 7980 give up?

Cool. Should not be too long now. I really have the process down so making parts should go real quick. I plan on having a couple sets sent out for testing early next week.

You got me. This is the second I have been through. Each time I am rolling and when I recover the rig it has nothing. I have only had this one as long as I have had this car, not long. Good thing Hitec has awesome customer service.

Great job with the link mount Erik. Iv ran my rig every night with great results. Runnung the mount in a couple different places. The holes were matched perfect on both pieces. The threads were great on the inner piece. Being delrin you cant get gorillia on it. So i just snugged the bolts and havent had a problem with them coming loose. The adjustability of it with out pulling the case appart is a bonus for sure. All and all its a great mount. Keep the goodies coming Erik
