I finished off sanding and grinding on the rear tubes this morning. I made the spot behind the shock and link mounts match the turn down axle tube. Still have to do the fronts

I also decide to figure out how much weight doing this was. It shaved a 1 oz off.

Thanks Matt. I have been slammed at work so I have yet to do the front axle.

Think I'm gonna order some gunner pins for my gears and my axles. It was great to meet him at the Golden State shoot out.

I decided to make the rear axle case match the new machine finish. Took some time with dremel and alot of hand sanding with many different grits of sand paper.

I haven't posted anything in here for a while. But since I'm getting my rigs ready for the best of the west comp.

Here is some of the updates Font case is sanded to match the rear. All new boca bearings install in the axles, Gears have been lightned. Motor side of case is going to get milled by jeeper05 (dropping them off tomorrow) And VP 8* knuckle weights.

Well it is ready for the Best of the West Comp. I put scx-10 shocks on it. Thanks to East Coast RC, ecrchobbies, RC Rock Crawlers.. I also replaced my 12 awg motor wires to 16 awg. When I get back it will continue on its Jenny Craig weight loss. The sidewinders will be replaced with 2 smashed fxr and modded bec. Plus the motors on this are original Holmes Hobbies 35t, I think some lighter motors are needed. Hope to do some new wheels and foams also. I'm sitting at 5lbs 2.6oz ready to run.

Your rigs looking goood! Thanks for the business and let me know what I can get for you in the future Curious why youre going to go from Castle ESC's to the FXR's instead of something like Sidewinder Micros or BRXL's decased and shrunken down?

I carry and sell all three options...I only ask because I prefer Castle products.

I'm really waiting on John to release his smaller brxl. Thanks for the offer but being a a Holmes Team driver I don't think you want to match his price .

I'm looking at having the option of 4s. Brxl's are the same size as the side winders that I have now. I like Castle also. I have one of each already fxr, brxl just laying around. I run the micro pro in my mini.

Well it has been some time since I have done any updates to this rig.

Since I broke my ankle on the 3rd of Aug. I haven't been able to do much but watch tv. So I decide to work on my rigs. The broken ankle also killed any nationals plans.

I got a some new BR Mini's in yesterday. Now it is time to get the rats nest of 2 sidewinders out of the chassis and shed some weight out of the center of my rig. I also plan to update my motors to some more current motors. The motor that are in it are original Holmes 35t.

Ordering up some conformal coating and a Corona r4fa receiver that work with my 4pk and decase it and my bec.

Looking good! That sucks about the ankle. You'll be missed at Nat's.
