So refreshing to not see bolted on parts.

Thanks Erik
Sorry to disappoint, but I admit I was planning on doing this so I can add more "bolt on" parts.
My thought was at least if I break a c at a comp there will be a few spares laying around in everybody's parts box.
Maybe I should just make my own?

Yeah, but I use the same type of bolt on parts for the same reason. The spirit is still in you!

Before I ever started RC I thought I would try my hand and some body jewelry. I made some Gr5 TI barbells. The INTERNAL threads were 0-80 and made from solid rod. LOL I seriously had some time and lots of broken taps in those. I have never in my life done anything so frustrating.

Mother of Pearl! Thy haveth nuts.

I tried to tap G5 once. Fail. Tossed the parts and replicated them out of 7075.

If those are axle tubes they will be quite heavy vs 7075, and at that wall thickness you'd never wear through either material.

They are the axle tubes, but still in a raw state. More to come...
They shouldn't be too heavy, but we will see. I figured I would start
out with the hard stuff first. If this plan fails then off to the 7075 bar.
I cannot imagine working with 0-80.

And.... A little closer.
Sorry to you guys that have asked, but I most likely will not be replicating these.
Not out of Ti6Al4V anyway... We will see how these turn out, maybe in 7075 if I have the enthusiasm.

Pretty much wrapped up.
Not perfect, but not too bad...
I hope to try installing them this weekend...

See you next week!
Unfortunately I have too much spindle and wrench time on this thing, and not
enough WHEEL time! Oh well, can't wait to hang out on the rocks with fellow
friends playing with toy cars!

Thanks Joel!
I might make a non-splined set to give 0° kingpin inclination a try too...
Not sure if I want it all the time, but I wish I had it when I was trying the Wendover bounty lines on Sunday...
I wish somebody made a set of 0° splined knuckles!
