I have recently been running at my practice spot where I have not driven in a long time. Its unbelievable the difference that these tuning rings can make!

Where are you running the ring in relation to the center of the wheel and what are you doing with the foam?

Now they know cause u said something. I run them on the outside of the wheel and I do nothing to my foams. They r f400 foams right out of the package.

Ya the al nuts came from Burboni the champ so I decided to put them on and it was a good 5g savings. And I'm running 18g wire instead of the 22g when I went to the sidewinders

Hey mike. No I did not have to do anything to my tubes. The servo just slid right in. That's a bonus with dlux tubes.

You moved the motor all the way back and up?

I can fit a 7980 in there with a 14t pinion. It is .882 or, as most of you hippies on here call it,.. 22.40mm

i relocated the motor but i want a similar CG as my existing rig so i don't want to move it too far and i might as well start with a new, smaller, and more powerfull servo for the new build.

thanks for the feedback.

sorry if i thread jacked.

Awesome driving this weekend! Splitting the tie with the national champ for 4th is not bad at all!

Thanks for letting me try out that twin stick. Its a pretty slick setup, I will have to put more thought into it.

Looks like the Backyard boys had 4 people in the top 10! WOW. Total talent and those Hall Style chassis must really make a difference. Let me know when he puts those up for sale.

LCQ sounds VERY non west coast friendly this year. <--- edit: Maybe I should have not said its not west coast friendly but rather not friendly for anybody who is not in the immediate area and can get to the comp site cheaply.

I wouldnt be spending 1,000's of dollars to have a small chance at 3 available spots.

I understand the distance issue, as last year was not very east coast friendly, distance wise.
