They got here in good shape. You did a great job at narrowing these up for me

Ran a couple packs through them and really like the narrowed Khaos. The main thing I like is the reduced weight and the new lugs
5oz shaved inside and sidewalls with pins trimmed, DLux Carbon fiber wheels with 600 hubs.

Crawler Innovations Closed Cell Inners all around with soft outers up front and medium outers out back.

Truck is now 4lbs 9oz with the new tire setup and 2oz knuckle weights on each side.

Also, working on a new knuckle weight holder. If you wanna space the dlux knuckle weights out, just turn the knuckle weight around (Last Picture) and drill and tap them to the knuckle. Depending on hub size, you'll have to trim the inside a bit.
Started on a VP Zero Ackerman mount for brass.

Wow. 6 ounces all at once is pretty significant. Is 4lb 6oz with or without the battery? Nice job Shane!

With battery. 450mah GensAce or 500mah ValueHobby

I dropped off 1.6oz of knuckle weight the other night when I was messing with link geometry.
With the narrowed Khaos, I dropped about 3-4 oz of total tire weight. Crazy!
I was at 4lbs 11.5oz before the tire swap.

But yea, 4lbs 9oz now. I'll have to double check back in the thread for the normal khaos weight.
Yep, normal khaos with CF wheels was about ~5.9oz each. Now 5.0oz.
Narrowed tires by themselves were 97 grams each.

More Tequila you mean.

I mis-quoted my last RTR weight. With 2oz knuckle weights and the narrowed Khaos, it's 4lbs 9 oz.

Hows the rig feel at 4.9? Ive gotten mine to about 4 11 and it seems to do better and better the lighter i get. Thats running 4.3oz per side on mine in knuckle weight. I think i will drop about 1.5 per side and see if its still on par! Keep up the great work on your berg, i hope i give you a run for your money at state!!!

It feels good at 4lbs 9oz. The front end is lifting in some situations. I'll get it tuned out. I am at 2.6oz each side right now. Plan on keeping that weight but moving it all the way forward.

I do like them. On the rears, I left every other small center lug (pictured). On the front I left one small center lug then skipped two rows and left another one.

Yep, I sent them already internally sanded too, so the carcass was thin and Ryan glued them back together nice.
I plan on attending both comps

You sanded them on the inside after your glued them back together? I looked on inside and thought you might have. I really like these tires narrowed up.

Szczerba Innovation's Homemade knuckle weights.
2.0oz total weight for one side. Might need to hit these with some black spray paint
Ol' school Brass paper weight egg cut up, drill press and drill.
Moved out as far as possible. Added 3 of my old knuckle weight washers to the inside.
Finish up the other side tomorrow.

Yeah...take another look inside when you get a chance...there's something missing from the sidewalls

Will do. I'll check em out next time they are apart. I am really liking the narrowed khaos setup so far.

Finished up the other side knuckle weights.
Got in a little practice time in with the new 2.0 oz each weights. All the knuckle weight up front and all the way outside =

4lbs 8oz RTR right now.

Couple guys have asked about links with the berg axles. These are what I am running. Made them for the Y-Town 4.0 and they were a direct swap for the Y-Town Secret Agent 3.5
Also, in POST #2 of this thread.

Try going down one hole on the front uppers. It will make the front drop a lot easier with steering inputs, without affecting sidehilling too much.

Nice tires, when are you guys gonna start going for patterns that don't bounce so much?

I tried various link setups the other day. One did involve lowering the front down one, with the rears up one from that. Which would put the front upper all the way down. It seemed to lose a little traction by going with that setup on some steep verticals. But I didnt have my knuckle weight setup like it is now.

I was going to to stagger the leave rows but didn't.

Where do I need to glue some pins back on at? Or cut out.
