Thanks guys! Im really getting this berg dialed in with the chump, only hickup i had was on the first course i didnt have the CF tube done up tight and it was sliding in/out, i was going from 4 to 3wd i still finished the course with a clean run but didnt try the bonus (tried it after and drove it first go) So just a little more tuning then i'll see the year out as is... not sure if i'll run this or try one of those xr's next year... |

Hey Dan as much as id love to have seen an XR on top you deserved the win i think Most of us your competitors are running Hulksta Engineering components or have had help along the way so you deserved to come out on top i think. Nec and the other drivers gave you a good run but is something cool seeing somone who not only drives well builds alot of your own gear come out on top. Well done mate |

After Aug comp the rig wasnt feeling right, after a bit of a look found i cracked the rear upper link mount... New one next to it, not as many holes and a little more beef should see it trouble free now.. When fixing that i found some axle damage... I was shocked to see that.. what happened is the CF tubes kept coming loose and i would keep tightening the grub screws down to hold the tube in.. it turned out on this side the axle tube slid out and i wound the screw into the Ti axle NOT the tube The grove got cut in the axle from me tightening it all the time and the grub screw sitting in this grove stopped the axle/tube from sliding out more, i thought i fixed the problem till i seen this Its all fixed now with an internal sleeve to stop this... the real shocking bit is after i thought "how good are these brOOds to keep turning the axles with the 3 grub screws locking down on that axle!" I didnt even notice a drop in power but did notice a noise (Nec will remember my saying that at the social a while back) but the drag brake was unreal!!!! |
