Yep no need to worry about things unplugging or glitching costing my points like the last few comps.. And I loose a little weight too

Only down side is if there is a fault or I want to upgdate firmware it's not so easy... You'll notice I soldered a join in the wires between esc's & rx, this is so I can unsolder and solder a plug for update firmware.. I'm looking at putting a second layout together so if there is a fault at a comp I can swap it all over and leave fault testing till I get home

Would you believe It's a traction compound ;)

Yeah I've got almost two years on the berg now, I know the rig has evolved over that time and many of the bits are very much like new but its time for a full custom MOA made in house

Full-on custom made rigs...especially axle housings are going to be very common soon considering how sparse store-bought versions are. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with

edit...after I posted that and read it again it made me think of the Super class. Interesting to think 2.2p is following in the steps of Supers now...

Heres an old snapshot from solidworks of rear (super set will have super dedicated...... Sssshhhhh) but the 2.2 Hulk set I designed so guys that have spent there hard earned on nice upgrades like RCBros tubes/gears, Ti axles from me or Dlux tubes etc you can still run them The front however there is a second option I'll share once I have a production set in hands of testers.

The new brOOds....

Built up a new set of shocks... Thought I would try these Integy shafts, 2@40mm 2@45mm (stock scx is 50mm)

This is them with a stock one next to them...

In.. I changed to plastic scx, not sure on weigh advantage from these changes cause did weigh sorry...

Well with team drivers running these gearbox covers for a while now I thought it best I fit them hey..

Oh I forgot to share the weight hey

This is how I weigh.. the most accurate way IMO as ive seen many ways to fool the usual style of scales people use

And the RTR with lipo etc.. this is with voodoo's on SLW rims.. Carbon wheels and boss claws would come up nice but ive finally got the voodoo's working now and 1710g is good in my books

Did the shorter shock shafts lower your ride height or just allow you to remove some internal limiters?

I ran 5mm internal limiting all round and 6mm external.. So yeah running these allow you to remove the limiting and run it as a built in style of limiting you might say... With the adjustable shock arms I can set the ride height front & rear and dial the height where I like it

Guys with chassis not offering much/any height adjustment it might not be a good option.. Though if you do run internal limiting of 5mm or higher its a mod for you ;)

There are other shock shaft options... So when looking the stock one is 3mm x 50mm and you'll need to think about the piston fitting too, in the case of the Integy ones I needed to shim them a little, other ones may need the same or be a direct fit, there is also ones requiring a captive nut but this is added weight IMO so I didn't bother with them

Had a quick test of the motors at home... WOW!! They have some punch, the rig was picking up the front wheels when I was gassing it on the carpet

Holy cow

Its been a long time since this had an update Guess I need to fix that hey?? Heck I haven't even shared my foam tuning mod for shocks

I best find some time and update while sitting in front of the heater

So its also time to start swapping over to the new chassis... What crawls and needs 5 tuned shocks???
