Default RcBros Weight Watcher Program

I've been getting tired of all the reality TV shows with people loosing weight, then I jump onto the forums and see its an addiction here too. I figured if I can beat em, I might as well start a weight watchers program myself

So I started out by ordering a bunch of new goodies. All new electronics, all new bearings, KrawlFreak CF wheels, SDS 300HD's, VP C's and Knuckles, Tomi knuckles weights, lipos and some drill bits

I'm not a fan of bling or jewels, but after seeing a bejazzled commercial I knew my berg needed its own bejazzle touch

Tossed in some new bearings, our lockers and milled gears and she's ready to roll. I did notice on these new gears (unsure of where I got them) there seemed to be a hard edge on each tooth. I put a soft wire wheel on the dremel and massaged each tooth along with some Eureka Pro lube and holy smokes this case is smooth

Then I got some SDS 300HD's, VP Wraith Knuckles with SDS top hats, ax10 8* C's and some of Tomi's wheel weight mounts.

I may end up clocking the motor up and redrilling the C's, but for now these are using existing clover holes.

The drag link clears the housing perfectly with the weight mounts below the arms. The link is made from solid 3/16 aluminum and tapped to 4mm.

Front axle is now complete. Onto the rear!

Alright, started on the rear axle now.

Dropped the rear clover tubes down to 40grams thanks to the hobby lathe and John.

Also cut the caps in half and redrilled new holes.

Just finished jeweling the rear cases. These turned out alittle better.

Turns out my scale only measures at 5g increments, so I cannot tell you exact numbers. However, there should be a total of 10grams savings. 5g each axle. Worth it? Probably not, but every gram counts in the hunt to loose weight

Wish I didn't sell my berg.

The dimpling looks nice. If nothing else it kept you out of trouble to stay busy!

Shooting for 2.015lbs?

Took forever and made a mess for sure Drill batteries are unhappy now too.

LOL @ 2lbs. I think I'll be lucky to hit low 4's. We'll c.

I've been using some cave man tools to make these. When I'm done with all 8 I should see a pretty good amount of weight dropped. They come out to just under half the weight of my old links.

Looking good William. Is it going to be ready for the Best of the West Comp.

I'm in the middle of a weight watcher program also.

Hoping to be done today, which leaves me some time for testing and tuning. Still got to build a 1.9 too

Well I'm getting somewhere finally. Made links this morning out of 3/16" 7075 aluminum. Ran out of material for the rear uppers, but used some hollow for mock up. I'll get more coming.

Keep in mind things are positioned just for mockup. Still got to make new chassis braces out of a lighter material, and shave about 1/16 off the right side lower links as its alittle longer. Shocks need rebuilt and springs replaced too.
