Hi Alex,

I can't wait to see your chassis on the axles.

I really like the chassis that you have designed.

ps: The comp was great. A good start, but ended up from second to the 4 place.
Hope to see you soon at the comps.

Hacked my Rowdy electronic mount.

I don't have a mill so that's my ghetto mod to remove as much as I can

I'm planning on putting some simple clear tape inside to keep the dirt out.

I'll see if I can find some polycarb that thin arround sounds like a better solution as dirt will not stick on it.

This is what rcc is all about, sharing, learning and laughin'

This morning I got a package from Erik with some Ti rod and tinkered my steering.

The draglink is parallel to the servo during all the travel and at full lock parallel to the ground, I had to remove the bump under the servo arm. I use a locknut under the VP arm they act as the perfect bump stop for the HD's

Got my lowers also, front are DLux rockshow link and I'll tweak the rear one to get the right wheelbase but so far it seems that it's almost dead on.

I got some 3/16'' al tubing, 5mm al rod and 5mm carbon tube for upper I'll see witch one will suits my needs once I got my chassis.

It's coming along nicely

Perhaps just run clear tape on the outside of the gear case holes? That'd be the lightest, and the sticky part will face the gears so no dirt to build up.

and will look like crap.... He and i have put some thought into the aesthetics of the rigs. The weight difference between the tape and paper thin poly is micro grams...

My LHS was closed yesterday, but thay have some stuff, may be acrylic or clear pvc. but is about the thickness of a thin transparency sheet or scotch tape

Try cold lamination sheets, You can get it at any staples or office supply store. It's very sticky, light and strong.

Added the big ass cap to the mix, here's the weight of the complete front axle, 599g or 21.1oz

Not the cleanest job but it'll work I hope I'll not have clearance issue as my package is a little high.
