Default Heido's Berg build

Hi everybody,

I'm starting my next seasons rig build. Till now I've had AX10 and Losi, now moving on to Berg.

Specs:
Berg V1 axles
VP Berg knuckles
Axial c-hubs
Topcad Axial rear lockouts
Super 300 CVD's
Axlemaster rear shafts
Alumec axle tubes and derlin rear upper link mount by tarmo120
Fast Eddys bearings
BWD motor savers
Dlux's no slop bushings

Electronics:
2x Mamba Micro Pro
CC Bec
2x Holmes Crawlmaster 20T
Hobbyking HV servo

Made the 2mm pin mod to gears

Had to see how the tubes look... Rear axle is coming together

Special thanks for parts:

Can anyone say how deep are the axle slots on the RcBros locker? My shorter CVD doesn't fit with the stock locker. It sits too out.

Also does anyone have a spare gear box half you are willing to let go (motor side)?

Great looking parts.

That spacing issue does not sound good. If you buy the RC bros, which I do recommend, you might be leading yourselve to the next issue with is an uneven front width.

Very nice start, where can I pick up some of those tubes? I really like!

Every custom machined part you see is made by me. So since I am not going to get a blue star just yet, please PM me for more info.

Also Heido what is wrong with the plastic motor side gear case I made?
You can use that as a drilling reference.

My tubes are made after the stock ones, so that shouldn't be the reason. But when I put the 300's and Axlemaster shafts side by side, this is what I found:

These are the 300's and yes that's about what it is longer. What you did with it, grind down?

You will have that problem with the newer berg lockers. They redesigned them and the slot isn't as deep as the old ones. You can cut the slot deeper or use the rcbro lockers

Thanks Tomi. Have a little to do on the front axle first before I can start mounting them up. But the Ti for the links will arrive next week so there will be no more excuses to hide behind

Sounds great! Will Tarmo do the Ti work for you?

If he does and he likes it, I might have a few request for him.

For a long time I have some update to show. The front axle is complete and links done. The steering and lower links are made of 5mm TI rod, uppers 4mm.

For the body I'm going to use my Proline Crowd Pleazer, just need to be trimmed.

Next up - electronics
