Default new weights for Vanquish 8* knuckles

Ordering and Vender link

http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/axles...ml#post4234218

Offering a new weight holding system for the Vanquish 8* degree knuckle.
These are cnc cut from 1/16" double sided carbon fiber and delrin. There will be two pieces of delrin that sandwich the carbon fiber holder.
The delrin is machined with a few thousands of interference to the weights to ensure a snug fit.

Will includes all spacers and hardware to bolt onto your 8* vp knuckles
Hardware is 100% stainless from Harley

The system weighs less than 1/4 oz but fully loaded (8 weights per side) brings it up to over 4oz per side.

The clearances at full lock are very minimal however I can still max out my 300 cvd's before the weight system interferes with the c-hubs.

Weights are not supplied

As of now this has only been tested on the berg setup, not on an ax10 axle housing.

These will be made in limited quantities as I am not a production shop. I just wanted to offer another option for the people still using the 8* knuckles.

PM me for buying info.

Thanks

Link for weights Update now using derby monkey weights

Installation

All parts supplied per side (x2)

Horse shoe and bracket installed with supplied hardware

Align the delrin retainers note: they are not symmetric

Using a pair of pliers, making sure you have the weight square to the holders, gently press the weight into the first retainer, then thou the carbon fiber and back thru the second retainer. This will take some persuasion but don't get carried away. Complete with the rest of the weights you want to install.

Install onto your Vanquish 8* knuckle using the 2 small 3mm screws and be sure to use thread locker. Note the carbon fiber washer needs to be on the outside of the horse shoe.

Depending on your wheels and hubs, you may need to cut down or use smaller spacers. Also, you will need to push or pull the weights from one side or the other if they are interfering with your beadlock screws.

No prices allowed in the tech section. Keep a look out in the vender section in the next few days, or send me a pm. I don't have a price 100% nailed down yet but I can give you a ball park.

Well, would you guys rather these be made for these

TowerHobbies.com | PineCar Tungsten Incremental Cylinder Weights 3oz

or for these

https://www.derbymonkeygarage.com/we...z-ea-4-oz-pkg/

I am asking because if you want to full load these you could easily order 2 sets for derby monkey weight.

On the other hand, the tower ones are cheaper but you'll need 4 sets to get 16 .5oz slugs and that will cost more in the end. There is a big enough difference in diameter that they wont fit both. So I am leaving it up to you guys.

I have never ordered from derby monkey so I can't say how reliable they are either.

I have ordered from them several times. They ship quickly (of course, they are in my home state, so that might be why) and their service is excellent.

Nice product, BTW!

I say go with the derby monkey ones because I already have them for my bigron set

I like how yours are more offset allowing different size offset of the wheels. That's the one thing I don't like about the bigron holders I have.

Oh yeah, derby monkey is safe to order from. Super fast shipping too.
