Did you just put a screw in the top of the link mount? Nice work. Now cut a slice off a bike innertube and hold the battery down with it.

It's takes 2 minutes! A little piece of .030" lexan, one hole into the upper link mount and one onto the lower link mount. BAM, a 2gram batt mount.

What size? Mountain or road? Haha. Should I keep the Velcro or ditch it?

2 min if your a hack and cut up old bodies! Ha! Back at ya for the panel comment!

I would need that mount CNC cut. I cant make parts like that and feel good about it. Plus, what if it works for everybody else?

Thats the only thing I dont like about the mount, velcro. I dont trust it. O rings or like Harvo said, inner tube.

Ya, I would put something around it at a comp. But it works great for practice. I'm going to try the inner tube idea!

Sweet! I don't have kids, so hopefully a mountain bike tube will work. Should be about the same size?

A mountain bike tube will probely be to big for a 450 i cut a piece out of a bmx tire and it fit an 850 nicely put i think the 450 is a little on the thin side. Geo made a mount that works nicely on his stock cases with the new 1s bein smaller the batt should fit pretty up there

The front case already has the integrated tab to use Erik's behind the motor battery mount. I have used it for mounting electronics before when I used a Rowdy XR axle mount on the Berg.

I went out and put another 6 packs through it today. With the LW knuckles I lost 1.2oz off the front. So that's 0.6oz per side. Holy crap what a noticeable difference. And not in a good way. It made the front feel way lighter. I really need to add .5oz back to the knuckle weight holders to make sure I'm not just crazy. It amazes me that an ounce can make that big of a difference.

Can anyone running sub 3.5lbs chime in with some setup tips?

This thing keeps making me laugh because it does stuff like this,

I think it is because with out all the extra weight there is less momentum? In this pic I was almost to the top when I hit a branch from the tree that knocked it backwards. It slide down the rock, teetered for a sec. then just sat there. I will have to start taking more pics of the goof shit that keeps happening.

Those things were absolutely bullet proof. I won't be bummed if no one buys them. Maybe I'll have the money someday to build them up again? I don't know if you guys ever look in the bully section but I had that thing down to 3lb 15oz and I still had the beadlock rings in the wheels. So I could have gotten it down to 3lbs 12.5z.
