Don't forget about the other axis as well. Putting in more triangulation or reducing it either at the chassis or the upper link mount changes things considerably too. These axles have much more triangulation than the stock berg cases provide. I had to work with that some because the extra traction from moving the uppers down was really stiffening up the suspension.
I just got my new mount today. I haven't had a chance to put it on yet. The links are mounted in the front link mount hole on the case. Luckily it's not necessary anymore with the sweet new link mount.

I have always kept my upper links on the inside of the chassis. So I don't have near the triangulation as most people these days.

The new link mount is really nice.

I also just got a set of PIMPed out cast knuckles from Erik! They have bearings in the kingpins so they turn super butter smooth and 3 14mm bearings for the stub shaft. Zero slop and unbelievably smooth. Like, almost as smooth as Joel's steering.

The new foam setup was much improved today. The front feels really good but now the back seams soft. I think the 5.0" inner is just to small? I think I'm going to put a set of 5.5"/softs in the back and see how that goes.

Link mount looks sweet, but I only see one screw holding it in place?

Rig looked great on sunday
It was cool to see the new axles. Once you put the knuckle weight on, the rig started killing it. I really liked watching your rig drive upside down too, nice feature

I'm watching

The link mount has two screws going into the case. You just can't see the other one in the pic.

I drove all the way over to my favorite spot in G-ville, plugged in the batt and nothing. The neg wire came off the esc, yay! So back home I went. Soldered the wire back on and walked over to some concrete the guys building all the houses have piled up around the corner.

I don't know how some of you guys run with so much knuckle weight? Maybe my rear is just to light for that much weight? I don't know, but I pulled the massive 0.500 rings off the front and it was way better. It seams to climb the same but descends much better.

DickyT hooked me up with a set of 30t skewed arms and holy crap! Wheel speed and smoothness out the ass! These are fun to have.

Tops the old 40t and the bottoms the new 30t.

DickyT kept telling me to get on the 30t skews too. I picked on up for my sporty and that thing is a zippy little beast. I keep trying to go crawl but keep taking it off sweet jumps instead.

Ya man, they are pretty sweet. It's quite fun but I think I need to work on the expo because its kinda jumpy since it hits so fast.

If you can't find the sweet spot in your expo, zero it back out, dial some curve (15% is a good place to start) into your esc, then go back to tweaking your expo.

Glad you are enjoying them

I have just been tuning foams and link geo as of late. I think I have the foams right where I want them for now. They are killing it!

I also went back the the Exciter body. The hardline just doesn't roll over, it will drive upside down but if its not on rock or grass it just spins. No matter how much wheel speed you have. It cost me about 4 rollovers at the last comp. But with the Exciter and 30t skewed's I can roll it back over damn near anywhere. Much better and I love to look. It's about 6g heavier the the cut up hardline.

Haha. I have a hacked up 5.5" inner with a soft 5.0/5.25 outer. In the rear I just have a 5.5 inner/ soft outer. I will be trying a 5.25" inner/ soft 5.5/6.0 outer I the rear.

I like that body better.

Its only a matter of time until that 6 extra grams eats away at your conscience and you got back to bodiless.

The Hardlins struggles to roll over due to that roof scopp causing the truck to lean towards one tire. I still want to try running one with a similar cut, but I think I may remove the hood scoop. not too sure if that would cause a big hangup when rolling over so maybe I'd have to shoe goo a piece of lexan in to fill the void.
