5TH Dimension Minimal berg rebuild
I'll start off by saying thanks to Travis @ 5D for offering me a spot as a 5TH Dimension Team Driver...
My plan is to build this today basically as a chassis swap. So I can run the Minimal chassis @ the AZ Shootout next sat.
My first impressions of the chassis out of the box ( besides the ear to ear smile) well packaged, has all the hardware, shock rails look really strong.
looks like Travis has put a lot of work/time in to these chassis... now to start building.

Woohoo! The Fifth Dimension will be ripping hard in AZ!

Glad to have you on board Matt. Hopefully you don't run into any hiccups with the short time you have before the comp.

Need to get rid of that rear wheel hop. Other than that, it looks good.

I thought you Cali boys called that "hittin' tha switches"?

Besides that terrible bounce it doesn't look that bad for a first run

Im pretty impressed with how she did outta the gate there Matty. Looks like you have some minor tweeks to settle her down a touch.

We'll be seein you, D Wray, Chaz & the other West Coasters on that killer Prescott rock in a bit. Im excited to see how she does for you man. Like I said before...I honestly believe that with the right rig...you gotsta skills to consistently finish top 5 on ANY day brutha. So bring that game you got & make us proud.

aybe you need more breathers too? And I'm thinking the greens are a little too stiff and/or your piston speed is too fast

thanks Travis... I have like 6 large breathing holes in ea. rear wheel...
(if you look close you can see them)
I thought greens might be to stiff also.

After my test run yesterday here's my set-up for AZ shootout.
Before test run I already made some new upper links from 6061 alum tube.. lost 1oz of weight. not sure if they will hold up????
links
Moved rear upper links down a hole @ Chassis (middle hole). Front upper links are in top hole.
Shocks..
swapped out Losi greens springs. W/ Losi mini-t silver FRONT & Losi MRC silver REAR 35wt oil.
foams
Left them alone DD firm inner/soft outers.

You may have the wheel vented but then the closed cell foam is blocking the vent holes. You might try venting the tires to settle some of that bounce.

He's using the old style open cell inners so it should vent fine. I really think it was hopping mostly due to being over spring.
