Hi Yes, it's done. I mounted my new carbon chassis and I reduced the wires to make the shorter circuit as I can. electro was unpacked and plastidipped, to avoid court circuit (with carbone, it could be fun ) and the minimized installation And I tried Hb rover on front and voodoos at rear (with the reduced front wheel width, HB earn some mm in diameter). I find it's a good deal Just 1 question. When I soldered capacitors, I broke 1. Perhaps it's not neccessary to have 2 capacitors, because FXR gives 80A and motor not uses all. The capacitor is used to give courant if battery is overloaded, so if it's never overloaded, I don't need 2 |

Hi! the crawler season is finished :( The last episode is the best I have been participating the "Paca2" and I finished 9th and it's cool, because I won something to be ok for the next Excellent the final (by night ) Youtube : Paca comp 2 ! Finale Francis 63 et T-genial - YouTube And now, the next evolution stage I missed some punch to jump over rock steps and 2 vapors 35T were on sell at really good price so now they are the next motors on my berg (thank you Izik ) After, I bought CNC milling wich does good good work So I made 2 gearbox carter with Lexan 4 mm against Now, the job is to enlarge the front axle to have the steering axle as close as possible center tire to keep stability and re-cut carbone chassis, because it meet feet too close |

| Berg tracer TGS Evolution
So, what is saying is what it's doing first step: motors they are changed by 2 vapors 35T (thank you Yzik ) to get more speed because I learned to jump I have just an interrogation: I believe berg and XR10 haven't same number of pinions and turn in reverse direction. So I need to change timing and it's sad because they are appaired. I'll do it but, i don't know if i can get high precision . I will buy some smartphone apps to have stroboscope Everything else is made by myself the new chassis ( 3K 2 brillant sides) new front axle 10 mm alu toobs I recycled berg hubs because I needed to run with a friend, but some delrin hubs are drawing and wait to be mill I turned a new axle, 2 cm prolonged To support aluminium toobs, some PVC supports (my first 3D milling) (2 nice supports are made after) 120g Pb weight are added at the lowest and discarded as much as possible to get down gravity center. and it has 3 effects first the gravity second: before, when I digged, a weight transfert on the rear appeared (30g, enough to change weight repartition) Now, when I dig, the weight goes on front and offset weight transfert third: a little video tells more some words http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jj4kJ...C09CrLOATmCkqw to get discarded steering point and get 29 cm width axle, I return wheels and added some spacers (10mm) I could get down servo (5mm) with a new support front wheels turn to polycarbonate And, like it's a new year, there is a new skin (Slash design) You can admire the new steering link (straighter) a new roof and gear box are on the desk, too. Like that, when I'll mill my pinions set, I can get out "Berg" Last edited by tgenial58; 02-16-2015 at 01:06 AM. |

Great work on youre tracer.. May I ask how many hours you have put into youre rig??? I am not talking about driving time,,just build time??? It seems you have made the berg v3 into a great crawler,,but I imagine it has been some late nights and a shitload off swearing, and sweating...he he he.. I did not have the patience for the tracer so I bought me a xr10 instead,,now I got myself some dlux superlites and am ready to start a new berg adventure.. |

I don't know I think you can count 10h by part, time to imagine, draw and mill or other. And many time of driving to find defaults, understand them and find how to solve them |

Really nice the berg v3,is my favorite after xr 10.You just have to take quite a carbon frame designed for 4 shock absorbers, you are already well advanced

Compliments,as are the engines Integy?I'm thinking of buying them even I. if you accept a advice passes a chassis with four shock absorbers, becomes much more stable |

This is this particularity which interest me . when you learn to drive it, when berg limitations are out, it's a really good chassis. Largest front axle gives it more stability and when I see where it ride, I believe it's not worst I loved integy for price/quality. I just changed them for more speed and I had a good opportunity, but I could buy 2 another Integy without doubt and, somewhere, I think 4 absorbers are for drivers comfort, but if nobody is in it, this is "useless". And for example, when you watch 1/1 crawler, front axle is with parallele links on front and crossed on rear, to get more torsion on rear and keep stability on front. If you push to limit, front axle will be fixed. |

Hi Sure! 95mm is really too short. I have 3Racing 130mm shocks, turned, with similar mini T losi springs and home made alu spring cups |

You can find on ebay: 3Racing Oil Damper Set for AX10 Scorpion AX10 12 GR | eBay I watched you berg. Wheelbase is 320 mm. You are far, far away. front heigth must be lower: you can tilt and move back shocks to keep lateral movement Lower links are too large and limit seriously axle movement. And all are too short. | |

In the tread at rccrawler.se I got the answer that the chassi is probaly a berg v3 chassi that has no shocks in the front so I now mounted the axel direct to the axel. I took everything apart at the rear. I have to make links but I wonder what the height shall be below the chassi without tires?

I guess you mean the chassis mounted directly to the axle,,?? he he he I dont know the answer,, I did have a berg V3 3 years ago but I did trade it for a xr10 kit so I never ran the v3, but it is pretty high I do rememnber.. check out some off the other berg v3 treads and ask questions there.. |
