Ok!
So

3D CAD with the lightest strain and as thin as possible

Some settings to generate milling code

and the milled piece

To close gearbox, I use 4mm alu surfaced at 3mm

(the rear is on progress ;) )

screws fixe delrin part on alu plate which is threaded

and it works really good

Why don't you use Carbon Fiber to close the box?
Great looking parts by the way ;)

because aluminum does not delaminate
Thanks

True about the delaminating part.
But still I think you should make it an option on your berg axles...
Others used it without major problems.

Yes, it could be an option.
I have some 3mm CF in stock, used to build servo support, but my gearbox will begin full black.
A bit of gloss is cool ;)
The first reason is that I think violent impacts are better absorbed by alu than CF
and it' changes a little bit of others gearboxes

Merci

Another step of my public enemy evolution
I've mounted TGS alu shocks mounts
It permits to have really good move of shocks, without hard point , without modify the shocks
Long version on front (17mm) and short on rear (14mm)

I love it: it is really smooth, super reactive, than happiness!

Hi!
Finally, my public enemy gets his weights on front axle.
It had been a long time that he deserved it
Now, it's done
I used tungsten slugs, 4 by wheel
I milled 3mm CF with pockets to insert slugs and have 6mm left for delrin support

to be sure that it never touches spacers, I've milled flat spacers in 7075 alu, 2mm thickness

I'm really happy because it just missed this to be perfect

Hi!

Some news

For 2017 season, the rig has got the final version with good CF (exit the prototyping CF, ugly and bad quality) and a new color for the 3D part

1/2 bio hasard rims in 2mm are a little bit light. they were changed by a new version in 4mm, stronger, and nicer too

I build Dlux style knuckle with alu weight holders, that gives ~40g more than the VP on each wheel, 100g in total with tungsten slugs

You can see brass inserts in the hub.
they begin to be old and after lot of unmountings/mounting, screws's threads are tired.
This is a good solution to keep them

I add 4mm alu spacers to enlarge the front axle and get more steering (tires can turn more without touch the lower links)

A friend drew and offered me 3D cover guards to protect my pullers, a really cool gift

If you want to print it, you can find the STL file here (for puller 400)
it's free

this year was poor in comps for me but I invested for the next years with the building of my margo , a super and a mini to make profitable the trips

The mini will be finished soon

Hi!
Here is the last training session with the public enemy

And the throttle potentiometer finished to die after the first lipo
A bunch of new potentiometers arrive soon (the steering should die soon, I suppose)
