Thanks Chris...... Should be able to make the cookout with kids in tow. My wife has something else planned already but the kids love a day on the rocks / river.

Ben, now who in the world have you been talking to now.... Lol. You sure you got that right? Lol. Yes, my team guys love me and I take great care to make something amazing and reasonably priced as well. I know two in Ohio that can't wait. I'm working on a set of cases that are going to Switzerland..... Gone international now! How word travels......
Thanks fella, Barry

That is kind of what I am thinking about bigron. Good work.

This is what I am running right now.
BigStu's Viper II almost a Berg..

Just can't decide if I want to run the AL Fighters or work on a set of mod berg axles. Still a few more parts to collect and then we'll be ready to go..
I like the hardline body and it has pretty good roll over capabilities. But I have also seen a couple bug bodies that impressed me.
Might have to get with Ben and Farmer, so we can save shipping. LOL

Gentlemen, please let's keep to the topic at hand. I was making a build thread on my new rig in the sub 4lb range. I wanted to share my excitement and I am excited to see where it will take us in the upcoming season. This is a Nationals level rig IMHO that can only reach it's peak performance when the design is adhered to. I will admit I still have some Old Skool in me but I will not be putting my old 1/4lb lid on my truck. When I realized the weight savings of bodiless and the position of that weight on the rig I kicked the lid aside.

Either way, I strongly recommend a pin pattern of some sort (unless you go with the gold compound)

I haven't done any snipping yet. I have seen one of your patterns posted a few weeks back but have been happy enough with what I have now.

Jealous? LOL.. You know you want them back?
Sorry about the photobomb. Copied more code than I thought.
I fix it...

Back to the topic, I LOVE my gold dot voodoos, they have traction on the slippery river rock that other tires don't have traction on.
With your rig being so light I am willing to bet it would be insane with a set of gold dots.

What kind of body were you running that was 1/4 lb? I've never put mine on a scale individually, just the complete assembeled car.

I was just curious if anyone had ran one with a body yet.
I'm all about trying things that aren't the typical set up. Ask Mustangboy about my 6" Sedonas. LOL..

What are you running for electronics and what are you using for a mount. Looks like a motor mount plate with everything mounted behind the motor, correct?

Okay..... Everything is quiet again..... I am whispering so please keep a secret... Okay? I know Stu means well but please don't let him know where I hid my electronics. Hint hint..... They are all on the front axle except for the rear motor of course! Lol. With careful with planning and design everything can be hidden even in a bodyless chassis. I used an old battery mount and smashed them right behind the motor right below the upper links. I have always been the wiring guru and look for every possible way to keep my rig clean and Classi:-P

I like your beach logic, but I have found things to be quite different in some ways.

Took the kids to a water park. What I noticed is there are many folks who think that more equals less. That or sometimes bad ink still needs to be displayed. In other words what I have fround is that there is a direct corelation between the heavier the gal, the smaller the swimsuit. Makes you nervous wating for your kids at the big slides!!
