Well..... In my twenty years of Rc...... Water and electronics don't mix. They may be fine for a little while but are bound to fail at some point. Really not worth the risk with all we put in these rigs. I will send the servo back to Hitec and they will replace it for a nominal fee. I have two others anyways. CC has a $30 fee to replace the speed controls...... I am just going to start over and move on.

Well.... After realizing how difficult it is to remove water from inside those glue on wheels I spent Sunday afternoon making a set of beadlock wheels for myself. I am real happy with the results. I am still not quite done but it looks like the complete wheel will be just under a ounce. 8-)

Corrosion X for the win!!! Never had a issue one dipped in that magical goodness. Daughters wraith was fully submerged for 3 or 4 minutes in a river. No issues since Also my wraith at ECC this year was making some pretty epic run through a ton of water at the hotel the one night. No issues again.
Later,
Farmer

Farmer...does the Corrosion X leave a greasy film on the ESC's or does it dry up completely?

Fellas,

I appreciate your suggestions..... Been there..... Tried that. Water and electronics don't mix. I raced boats for years and I have tried it all. In the end, keep it dry and clean and it will last forever..... Get is even slightly damp.... It will fail.

The corrosion X farmer is talking about works.. Seriously.
I took this earlier this year. Brushless motor and speed controller..
It did get a little wonky because the receiver lost bind but otherwise, the electronics were fine.

I have been busy all week with building stuff for customers and haven't had a chance to put my now dried out truck back together.....

EddieO has hooked me up with some awesome new motors..... Going on this rig will be a matched set of 35t skewed arm Confluxes from Team Brood. Thanks again EddieO for the SMOOOOOTH power plants
