Default Time to build a new Kia

As many of you know, I have been running my xr-7 for the past couple of years. I have had 99% of the parts for this build for over a year now, and thanks to a good friend I was able to acquire the last missing piece to get this build going.

I'm not one to do build threads normally, but a lot of people have helped me in getting this thing going. I would like to start off by thanking the good guys at YTC, CDW/SMW, Holmes Hobbies, RCBros, RCCrawler.com, Vanquish Products, KL Designs, and MFD. Between parts and custom machining, everyone of these great vendors were a huge help! I'm sure I'm forgetting someone at the moment, and will be sure to update this list as I go.

This isn't gonna be one of my normal 3 hour builds that I'm sure some of you were expecting. Also, even though there will be pictures of lots of pretty parts, I'm gonna try and put more focus on what I believe are the small details that go into building a truck capable of competing at the highest levels of competition.

I will be starting the build in a few hours and updating shortly there after

Unfortunately between my afternoon nap and some other stuff, I didn't get a chance to get anything done tonight like I had hoped. I did spend some time on the phone with krawlfreak and got some more cool stuff heading my way for this build

Are you finally planning to mount that Chain driven Mr. Fusion for additional boost?

I think he'll probably power it with his patented perpetual motion machine.

This thread is funny as it closely mirrors my own emotions towards crawlers after nationals. Day 1, super pumped to build anything new. Day 2, nothing...

Count me in this group too.

C'mon Nabil, You can't out-Harley Harley with a build thread. It's impossible.

I remember him discussing with us why he went from the Berg to a xr. He said he broke the tie rod and had to make a new one... It was easier to build a xr than a new tierod...
