Default The Violators 2014 and beyond rebuild......

At Nationals this year seeing all the newest lightweight builds. Custom made axles, plastic, carbon fiber, unicorn tears, etc all getting their asses handed to them by a over 4 pound Berg gave me new hope. (Shout out to Joel......Whoop Whoop)

My old girl has been ran hard and put away wet. And then some. Time to bring her into the 2014 era. She will be lightweight, for me shooting for high 4's. First things first.

One of the few things to stay is the rear tubes. Until the Brood Magnesium tubes become available, I will be running these. RCBro's tube are great.

I am going to try out the skinny shock thing. Of course I will not be running the high dollar version, I picked these up from Bogncrawl here on the board. If I do not end up liking them, I will probably go to the Traxxas shocks I run on my Villian.

For new parts lets start with the power plant. Brood Racing. I mean is there really another choice. I prefer my motor to hold together, and my last couple sets have never had one ounce of anything done to them , and they keep on running.

Maybe EddieO can weigh in on the specs. I just told him " stupid power " and these arrived.

When it comes to Chassis, I was thinking about changing it up. I am not sure about running a body or not, but the base will be the same either way. Y-Town for life, Dog. I have to steal Krawls pic, because I have not had time to steal a chassis .

And I will need some new wheels. I am thinking they will look like this

But with a little less of this:

Or maybe not. More to follow.

It is amazing what can happen when a person barely in passing mentions needing to head to my favorite hobby store to "steal" a chassis. One gets hand delivered. I guess one chassis hand delivered is cheaper than the myriad of things I can fit in my pockets. I guess he figured out why I wear a trench coat to his shop even during the summer. Until you have seen someone trying to fit a mill under a jacket, you have not lived!!!

It was better for krawl to bring you a chassis, than have you come to his shop at the risk of you throwing a tantrum and flipping his tables over.

I all ready called Krawl last night and told him I was over it, and I was not going to rebuild my car. The whole building links, cutting things and such. Then he sent me a picture and my faith was restored. If I could figure out a way to save a texted pic I would let the cat out of the bag, but my ignorance means everyone will have to wait a little longer.

I think I have a name for this build. The Loch Ness Monster.
