After The Best of the West comp I decided to take the advice of others and do a long-overdue upgrade knuckle weights. With just a few options out there I decided to go with blue monkey knuckle weights. I emailed Matt through his website with quick response and fast shipment I had my knuckle weights in about 4 days.

Probably could have gotten away without grinding the add-on weight. it was very close to my hub so I used a Dremel to remove a little bit of brass to clear everything.

Also bought 2 MFN upper link mounts from Mike at the BOTW comp.

In order to use the MFN link mount on the front of my berg it also needed to be modified I just filed the front edge off to clear the servo.

With the 2 wheels House sent me I'm RTR. thanks House.

I picked up a set of lightened VP V4 wheels with CF rings from Del Monte that will replace my current wheels.
Thanks for the GREAT deal Jake.

House's idea of crusty, I'd hate to see his idea of Polished I did wipe the dirt off.

So I was digging through the parts box and found these parts.

5th dimension domenator chassis v1
HH br minis esc
Berg v1 competition axles
Vp dirty Harry and VP v4 wheels and rover tires
Hi-tech servo 5995
Still needed
Links
Motors
Scx10 shocks
Zip ties lol..

Figured all I needed was motors and links and I'd be able to build a loner rig of sorts (really hopping my nephew decides to make a few comps).

So I bought 2x integy lathe Motors 35t 21.00ea.
For links because I didn't want to spend 90- 100.00 on links. I took Erik's idea and used traxxas links. tmaxx turnbuckles Uppers and E-Revo push rods.

I had to bend the links, which always makes me nervous.. I don't want to destroy them. Anyways below are a few pictures....

Before shocks I still need to order a set of scx10 shocks.

Got impatient and borrowed the shocks off my pro rig.

I just saw this thread, the Traxxas links is a great Idea! I just picked up some threaded rod and ball ends to mock up some links for when my Super lites arrive. But I will have to look into the Traxxas links.

The upper traxxas tmaxx turnbuckles I used as is shorter links front, longer links rear.
The lower E- Revo push rods front I put a mild bend in them. Rear I added 2 bends and 1 jato rod end to ea. link in order to get the length needed for my rig.

Motor guards I know there's some really cool motor guards available for purchase... but I've always ran my 5-hour Energy bottle motor guards.... .69 cents and up for the bottle.. I don't drink the crap inside .

Easy to make.. (this is for the newbies)
Cut top and bottom off bottle.

Remove label and find the 2 seams in bottle and cut in 2 pieces.

Use double sided tape (servo tape) and stick on your motors..

I've ran these on my Crawlers since day one... cheap easy and durable. Slides great on rocks and keeps motors looking new..
