| RickM's CCC Bulldog/Dlux Berg
I am not sure this is that uniquely worthy of a build thread, but hey, if it helps someone then great. I have finally retired my BJv4 which has been a really great rig. I decided it was time for a good change. So this is what I have done. I think it is important to note that without the awesome venders around here, I might still be trying to get my old scorpion AX-10 to climb my kids sandbox. That said much of this is new cool stuff from CCC, but some of my parts are still left over from much of the greatness of DLux. So here is my breakdown. CCC Bulldog Chassis. CCC Links. May do some custom upper cf links for fun. CCC Gear Cases Dlux Axle Tubes. Old ones! Dlux tuned Big Bore Shocks. Dlux wheel weight systems. I was reluctant to go big bores after having so much fun with the SCX10 shocks, but after building them up last night, man they are so smooth and trouble free. Smashed Electronix on the front axle. Brood old motors. |

Got some more work done on it today, and I don't think my front link layout is going to work. I am probably going to have to go with a new batch of CF links. Hopefully with some luck my old links are roughly the same!! Loving this rig though. |

Looks good Rick! The only thing I worry about on the CF links is that the back uppers tend to be rather long depending on your setup. I feel the CF may give way on a hard fall. Looks like you got the updated chassis design with the extra row of upper link holes. I designed some cool side panels I call doggie doors. I'll get you a set next time I have some cut. |

So I got home last night and was realizing I had missed out on a chance to build up my rig with ultra-lite chassis braces. I got cracking in my shop and now my rig is somewhat up to date, and sitting at 4 lbs, 11.0 OZ. I will probably peal some knuckle weight off though, and did not have my top skins on.
