Well thanks to Tom=sourdo for finishing up the links and soldering up the electronics and Will=RCbro for setting up my 4PLS I now have a runner

Look at this sweet little package!

Run she does. When you have someone as knowledgable as Tom setting up your rig it just plain works from the get go!

Well the rig is ready for its first GTG tomorrow and I noticed how damn badass it was looking sitting there so I thought I would share a pic or two. You can see my Ghetto fab'd battery mount that I made today with my rudimentary tools and work area that I have but, it is a good start.

I tried to make it look a little better with some stickers on the stock panels until the KK goodness arrives

You are going to be at high rocks tomorrow right? You can see it in person then. It is nothing special but I think it will only work with a Dlux case. It needs work but is a good start. I figure Tom will come up with a way to improve it the minute he sees it

So these came today. I understood that the wires would be a smaller gauge but I did not realize how short they would be. With my having to mount the battery on the front axel they won't reach. I would like to keep them as they are some nice clean looking little guys. I can't extend the wires so what can I do?

You really need to put longer wires on your ESC's, It's the best way to address this issue. I myself ran into the same problem. On a sidenote, you coming to the comp on Sunday?

This has never been a issue for me as the Broods worked fine and the HH batteries I had back in the day were also long enough. This is the first time I have seen the wires be this short and this small of a gauge as well.

Yes I am coming Sunday, really looking forward to it. I have a few minor things to get done and I will be ready to go.

nice man! I never though of mounting to servo mount! I used upper link mount nut. and where shock mounts on the axle. I'll post a pic soon.

So a few tweaks were made recently. I moved the servo over towards the case. I also tilted it forward from where it was which gave some clearance between servo and the motor as well as very nice steering geometry. I raised the servo up as well so it is behind the axel not below it. These changes necessitated a longer steering link and a new battery mount. I wanted to raise the battery mount up from where I had it before so I could run the steering rod under the mount which is the way it is supposed to go. The only downside is the battery is a bit exposed but I will see how it goes. If there is a issue maybe I could get Rowdy to make me something.

So down the 5 to Tom's house I went and this is what he came up with.

As you all can see I had my user name shortened to match my skins and just be easier to deal with in general. I also had the thread name changed to reflect what it has become verses what it started as. Hopefully newbs will take a look as it shows the learning curve it takes to get from nothing to a highly capable Berg style MOA crawler.

The rig is in the process of being updated. The wheels are changing to something a little bit Dlux and a little bit of my tweaking. They are coming along nicely and I believe will be pretty cool when I am done. I will be using Erik's weights and I am doing all new foams to go with the new wheels. Also as you can see above my skins are on the way
