| Re: Winner found... A new Dog to train.. Man, I just keep coming back and looking at it! Tho, I don't think ur servo is going to be strong enough for crawling Barry.. ;) With the spacer's all around the servo and the servo pretty well a fixed part of the axle, at this point.. I think I might remove the support post on the battery side and drop mine under the plate as well.. I likey!!! |

Let's get a little Berg back in this Berg thread! Before the comp today, I wanted to catch up here first.. I redid my shocks with some fresh 50wt and added some external limiting to the rear shocks. I think it's too much, but it's a starting point. I used scx rubber bump stops, so they are ready enough to cut down while on the rocks. I got 2 of the cut-n-shut 1.9 RB's done and mounted to a set of CI 6 Bolt wheels, with CI DD 6" narrow CC inners and soft outers.. The tires are sitting at 5.4" tall without foam an 1.6" wide.. A pretty good size IMO.. Specially coming from BC's.. With the change of wheels, I had to adjust my hub width.. Which is made extremely easy with the use of Lattice Innovations "Shift" hubs. Basically any configuration needed in one package! Normal Shift's or narrow Shift's w/either ¼" or " spacer's. Using 4-40 or tapping the other 6 holes with 3mm.. This is what I got going on for today.. And a pic of what the Berg steering on a sporty looks like.. (Since it was posted) |

After ruining them today, I think I'm going to leave them to the sporty tho.. Or atleast not till I get some run time on them and feel more comfortable with them.. Don't get me wrong, they worked Great and brought home that 1st place, but it helps when I'm the only one that finished the final course.. Cause I was not winning before that! :/

How do you mean, "i found CCC axle's very tight"? I'm running boss claws on mine, which are a very wide tire.. So I only have 7" between the inside of my tires.. With my skinny, EY designs, do-overs/laalaa's, I have 7.75" between the tires and only a 10.5" front track width.. So your Voodoo's should have plenty of steering room.

hello, thanks for answer, with my xr10 i was comfortable with 11.25" in the front and a bit less than 11" on the rear, and i could found this width easily with vanquish hub. But with the CCC axles it's difficult for me to reach the same width, i need to put a lot off lattice innovation spacers. i'm very suprised that you drive with this short width. i will try to run my rig with a short width to test it |

I guess it depends on which wheels you run.. I run 3 piece glue on's, about the same offset as CI wheels.. My front is a Shift hub and a skinny spacer. My rear wheels are flipped and I use a narrow Shift hub. I like the narrow width. It keeps things tight, but not too tight. I use to run 11"+ but like 10.5" better.. It just depends on which wheel/tire combo I have on. |
