Screw a thin (0.025) plate of 7075 across the top of all of the screw heads (head plate). There should be room for two screws to go down into the servo mount between the screws that hold the mount to the axle. That will hold them in place. 2.0 or 2.5M hardware should work. May only need two screws to hold the head plate in place. That should slow them from backing out J |

See Guys, I talked to Karl at World's about it. Actually I was standing there watching when it came off on course and felt bad for him. Generally I install these in my shop before they ship but this set started life as a super and have morphed into different setups over a year. Part of the issues here is Karl likes to be firm when tightening things. The correct "torque" on these screws can be applied with two finger tips. Karl says if it holds..... It stays but I suggested that he rotate the tube and he has two more options for screw holes. If that doesn't work I can make a new tube for him. Correctly installed the 3mm hardware goes into a 2mm hole without any tap action and the threads fit so snug that backing out should be a thing of the past. If I can do anything for you.... Let me know. Thanks for the suggestions here Joel but I think a heavy hand pulled the threads out of the tubes and a fresh start is in order.

Yup. I'm not to easy on things. The mount originally was threaded also. I drilled those threads out. In hind site that was not a good idea because without the threads in the mount it allows me to over tighten the screws in the tube. I take responsibility for the servo coming off. But as long as the CA glue and zip-ties work I'm happy.

Have a local comp in the morning. May the zip-ties be with me.

Thanks Mr. Racing. My rig did well. I just have to learn to make better driving decisions. I'm still happy with 2nd. Just 3 points away from 1st. You did great holding on to your 3 point lead in the finals course.
