Hittman's Dlux Berg Build

I have finally switched.. And man, I couldn't be more excited. Erik is the man. I knew he made great stuff, but these super lite axles are just amazing. Great machining on them and outstanding design. The one thing I worried about switching to bergs was the pumpkin clearance. With these axles, that worry is practically nonexistent. These are by far, the lightest and strongest axles on the market. No questions asked!

Axles:
Dlux custom super lites
Dlux berg/ofna universals
Dlux steering links
Dlux delrin v2 knuckles
Dlux brass loaded dice add on weights with tungsten slugs
Dlux lw 7075 rear shafts
Axial clockable chubs
Homemade battery mount
Rcbros super lw gears
Sds small 2nd and 3rds front and rear

Chassis/ Suspension:
Y-town double agent chassis
Dlux 3/16" lowers
Dlux 1/8" uppers
Dlux link sliders
Rcbros EGRESSOR shocks (machined pistons, rcbros springs, dlux spring cups, ey designs Ti shock shafts, rcbros preload collars)

Electronics:
Team Brood 35t stubbies
Hitec 7950th
Dual sidewinder micros
CC bec
Futaba 2106 rx
Maxamps 430mah 3s lipos

Tires/wheels:
Dlux loaded dice wheels
Narrowed gold Voodoos
Front foams: Narrowed comp cut 6" closed cell inner, narrowed soft outter, narrowed soft tuning ring
Rear foams: Narrowed 5.5" closed cell inner, narrowed medium outter, narrowed medium tuning ring

Onto some pics:

Keeping with the theme.. The lightest and the strongest!!

The small second on the left is a stock gear.. Couldn't find my other sds gear when I was taking pics.. All is good now thou.

Often the most looked over part when buying or building axles. People usually supply their own hardware.. Wether it's aluminum or SS.. Some companies will include some SS hardware.. But Dlux, he does it the right way. All aluminum and titanium hardware included with his axles. That means off the bat, you will have the lightest, and the strongest.. He did the hard part of finding all the correct lengths and collecting everything from multiple vendors.. All you have to do is enjoy. (Although I will change out the silver aluminum for blue stuff:mrgreen:)

Re: Hittman's Dlux Berg Build

These axles went together extremely smooth. The fit and finish is unmatched. The clearance, is unmatched.. These are just some bad ass axles. I feel bad for people who don't run these axles. Btw, that high quality hardware makes a difference!8)

These axles really are beautiful. Worth every penny spent. I have to give my thanks to mr. Dlux for making me these axles. The super lites alone, are top self, but I wanted something a bit different, and he delivered 100%. It's very rare that one vendor can offer so many parts for a rig. And it's even more rare that every single part they make is top self quality. Dlux is the go to guy"thumbsup""thumbsup""thumbsup"

The double agent chassis.. I have wanted to run this forever. Bought one at last nationals.. But sold it after other things came up. With ytown having a great sale on it in June, I knew I had to jump on it. The one thing I really like, is that you can change around the chassis pieces, to really make the chassis your own! The looks of this chassis are just killer. And the performance.. Well, it just speaks for itself.

Wouldn't be one of my rigs without a Teflon skid..

The wheels!

Super cool design on these things. The way the weights sit in them is just awesome. Ground breaking design. Another top self Dlux product"thumbsup"

And thats how you do a build thread! Nice work!

Man, that blue and black looks stunning! Good call on keeping the black Delrin center. It really sets it off having everything alternate like that.

This will be a great build to watch!

Great build and your going to love those axles cause I know I do! They are very reliable and easy to work on! Erik does a killer job of putting together a winning combo with all the right pieces where needed! Really like the blue too gives it a touch of difference from the others!

Thanks man. Glad you like.

I really like this color combo. Some might call the blue overboard, but I like it. Perfect look, and just what I wanted.
