And I told myself I'd never make another set. What a pain. But they are done. Came out great. Thanks DLux for my red discs. According to plan I used the same hubs as on my rig and the overall width of the rigs are the same. Time to get on to knuckle weights now that I have the depth sorted out.




Gotta find a new home for these.

Axles are coming out great, and machine work very clean Joel!

I would be very interested on a wider set for my Fighter axles, if you have the time, like House said. It would be a great improvement!

Those are his hubs.. They are just turned down.

Correct. Turned SLW850 hubs with my 0.063 7075 spacers.

Thanks for the kind words gents. Looking forward to getting on knuckle weights
as soon as I'm done whacking bass over the holiday.

No better time to work on some bias than one of the few rainy night we have in SoCal each year.

Got the mounting discs roughed out and knuckle blank set to be split in two. They will not be 7.5 oz each like on my rig. This rig will be lighter overall so less weight will be required to achieve similar bias.

Carbide, but that tool was 0.25' shank. For the large amount of the cutting edge I was using it was to much for that thin shank.

Update:

Preliminary knuckles and discs done. The discs will change before final install.











5.5 oz each. Should be plenty given the light weight of this rig. We'll see.

Rear shafts combined length increase ~1.6", fronts ~0.6".

Thanks! I added .875 total to mine on the front end. I was shooting for XR width. Still need to make new inners 300HD for it, someday. Ty

It arrived yesterday House. Thanks a bunch. It is by far the most dangerous looking tool I've handled, even more so than my microtome blade.
