This reflected why I had a 40 and 2 50's at BOTW...........

I had another short side in this truck that I could have used in my currant truck, but I was a bit lazy and did not want take apart 2 trucks to swap them....

And still was not last place..........

Got my motors back from a rebuild at Jakes Performance Hobbies

My delrin cases are xtra thick where the motor bolts on...
but I like to use Lunsford's motor screw kit, cause it has awesome alum.
wide cone washers.......
the lower washer, you have to put a flat spot on the washer so it fits against the case bottom......

So with blowing the ball off my super300's..
I have been on a quest to find something that will work...

so I thought I would try this:

STRC scx10 uni. / cvd's......... what ever... you know what they are.....
The scx shafts will work for the short side...
I have on order Wraith shafts only, for the long side to use on the berg long side.........

with a bit of measuring (well a lot of measuring ), cutting and grinding I got this............

they are a bit bumpy at full lock, but im hopein to work some of it out...
whats kinda nice they have a 2.47mm pin......

be able to tell more when the wraith shaft comes in and I grind and fit that one.....

Nice work mang!

"A bit bumpy at full lock".... You could always mod them, while you wait.
When I got started, a venom creeper was what I had and the cvd's/steering was weak.
I would take a drill bit, the size of the pin, and run the side of the bit against the end of the ball where the pin came in contact with it.

This would allow full steering, without the bump, at full lock.
Cvd's lasted Much longer, without that bind in the steering.

Got in my STRC wraith cvd's, so now I can finish up this test project...

wraith shaft, plenty long enough...

its in,.. after a bit of measuring and grinding...

Well since the season is over, I can now put these in this build and give them a bit of a work out......
well maybe I better decide if im going to AZ first...

BTW, I drove this new truck yesterday at the last comp of the season..
truck felt pretty good over all
it needs some fine tuning and its a little wider than my last truck
First set of VOODOO's , they take a bit to get use too...

How did the strc cvd hold up? Thinking about using them to shorten ar60 axle for a sporty rig. Seen a review where the ball end in the cvd busted....

Oh my.....
don't tell me that........

I only used them because they were cheap ...

and if they explode, I will try the VP ones........
I have something else up my sleeve...

I haven't not put them in the berg yet.......

AZ is coming up, and don't want to put them in then take them out before AZ, if I go...
not something I want to trust at that kind of comp.....

I will post the results, when I do try them......
