To be honest, I haven't weighed it yet. Though I will tomorrow if I find a scale. Last rig weighed 3 pounds 12 ounces and I loved it there. This rig has quite a few lighter parts, but I did run a bit more knuckle weight on this rig. So I will post up the weight tomorrow

I was trying to explain to a worker the other day about how comp rigs have evolved, and so (as it pertains to his job and understanding) motor needs have changed drastically over the decade. At first, a 8 to 10lb rig was pretty standard. Now, anything over 4 is heavy! No longer do we need super duper hold and boatloads of torque to launch, the old days where regular 3 slot was not enough brake. Even the 33t puller 400s lock up too much with 100% drag on my rig IMO. It's hard for newer folks to appreciate the flexibility and strength afforded by the 4lb era of rigs! Makes me wonder if there will be another small weight drop because of an unknown future development.

Agree - Its nice having so many parts made but sometimes its hard to explain to newer folks how its so easy (and cheaper) now to build a rig.

I predict MOW and 3D printed honey comb tires

Farmer - Great Job! I always like reading through veteran drivers keeping things simple with their Bergs. Never owned one but will say Real Berg owners always seem to have that touch of 'Class' in their builds.

I wish I had not sold my first berg. Although it would be pretty outdated to today's needs without work, it also never broke under the stress of 9lbs and 550 sized pullers. I ran that sucker on 10t pullers and 6s, talk about outdated

MOW is certainly on every bodies mind, but I think it prudent to make forward action to keep it out of 2.2P for 2016. Much like how MOA has gotten into shafty and started to squeeze remaining drivers and rig makers. In both classes, if the changing layouts aren't dealt with for 2016 we risk loosing parts support for existing rigs. We also risk loosing drivers. I don't want to spend thousands on a rig that becomes unsellable, and then have to completely rebuild from scratch next year to stay in the ranks. At least these kinds of big changes don't happen often and seem to focus around motor location.

Thanks man, I really appreciate it. This build was by far the most challenging one yet.

Had our last points series comp yesterday and The Holmes powered Remedy pulled out another win Ended up taking first in the series, Vegas here I come!!! Big thanks to my sponsors for the great goods and support Rig felt great yesterday with the lighter oil and the power was smooth and quick when I needed it, these 400's are the cats pajamas!!! Still kicking the idea of lowering the ride height still, but I will drive it a bit more to see if it's just me.

You'll be fine when ya get that new Chump and some steering Loving the sig line

Ended up getting the rig a little lower. Now it's sitting at 2 1/16" at the front of the skid fully compressed. I will see how she does in the next couple of days.
