thanks, & now that im remembering better, i did have to mod my ci foams for them to fit. i had a hard time figuring out the best way to do it also. going on dlux's advice i used a dremel and a sanding drum. if i remember correctly theres also a line on the foams that i used as a guide. it was my other foams that didnt have to be cut (pit bull dos piezas) but they sucked with the loaded dice, the soft inners got chewed up by the weights.

I'm running the 5.5's and after trimming it still seems like there is enough meat left on there to function nicely. If not there is always the 6.0's I could trim and try. Next week I will finally have the rig all put together and start running the Sh&$ out of it to see where we stand. I really hope the foams are right because I do not want to try to take these Beeatch's apart now to change foams unless it's really necessary!

Awesome! Looks exactly like I would have built it.

I think you need to swap your tie rod end for end. I think the bends are at the wrong ends but its hard to tell from your pictures. The tie rod should sit on top of the gear case tucked away from the rocks.

Cant wait for you to drive it!

Thanks Erik, wasn't exactly sure how the tie rod went in there, I'll try swapping it out tonight. I am definitely happy with how everything came out!! I really took my time with laying everything out and building just to make sure I got it right the first time. It feels solid and seems to drive super smooth.

Had a chance to run a few packs through it today and I am impressed! This is a heavier truck than I am used to but having the weight low and wide makes it feel really planted to the ground and very stable. Here's a couple pics of the rig out in the wild.

nice...
you are gonna fall in love with these axels,
the fact that you get all that weight low in the wheels is the key to sucsess..
I feel I can do everything with my sudu on the superlites..
my old xr10 belongs in a museum compared to the dlux axels
I have 400g off brass and slugs on my axels,, and even with 400g in weights I am still under 2kg

I will post some pics of a couple different spots I crawl at. I would like to see if we can get some guys together down here this fall to do a comp with 2.2P and 2.2S. Ill try to post up some pics over the weekend and you can let me know what you think. It's kind of a long drive for some of you but it might be worth it. One of the spots is great at low tide. I may be putting together a sporty soon also!!
