Quote from Erik, This is just a sloppy setup to get ideas from you guys. There is one HUGE mistake that I LOL'd about that nobody has caught yet. You might not be able to see it well enough. Rookie mistake on my part.

OK, taking a shot at what's left out... no skid plate?

How about a consultant team made of people who have put together lots of your stuff, who would be committed to answering emails, phone calls, or PMs about assembly questions. That would help get the monkey off your back. I mean... that's how it is indirectly anyway. People see a build thread, PM questions to the builder, and ideally get good advice. Just formalize it a little bit by giving more contact info with the purchase. After you get commitments of course. Like a semi live help network...

Good question! I joined this group a few days ago, and it seems to be in the ballpark but it's more tech than event info.

Funny... I may know many of those people but not by their real names. Ugh... so much junk to sort through on facebook pages to find what you want.

^^^This...

I would be down to help for sure. (I feel i owe you years of free labor at this point anyway?) I think i have enough experience with your junk to help people fix it? HAHA. And now that i'll be moving back to Reno in August, i'll be getting back in the comp scene. I need a lot of practice to get caught up!!

Great work Erik!

I already have gears on the way. Should just be a couple more weeks I am told. Thanks though!

What tooth pitch are these new gears going to be Metric like the stock Berg's or maybe the more common 48 pitch ???

Yep, and I dont know how to fix this. I know this was the demise of 801 and comp crawling here. Gotta hand out participation trophies.

Just waiting on gears and a couple other things to fall into place. If you need a car NOW, just PM me and I can get you taken care of right now. Might be about a month before things are on my site?

Rear shocks inside the chassis is by design.

Yep, new locker and stock Axial XR shafts.

The shocks just dont have oil in them so they are sticking.

I will have to give it some thought but its a good idea. My thought along the same lines was to make a group on Facebook for Dlux parts. That way, people can ask any question they want on any part I make in there and anybody can respond. The only thing I dont like is that it encourages people to just ask questions without thinking or researching.

Good question. Thats my big problem with FB. I feel like there are so many groups doing so many things. I cant even think about keeping up. I do like how people can tag you by writing your name. That way, if anybody wants me to see something, they just write my name and I get a notification. There are some pretty cool features on there.

I will let all the details out when I have them in my hands. I am working on your email too. It might be a little bit.

This is the biggest problem with Facebook along with posts just falling off the page and not being easy to find again.

There is nothing to fix for guys whining and quitting because they can't win. They got into the hobby with all the wrong intentions.

I do like beating you guys with toy trucks though

Yep.

I have said it before and I will say it again....

We may have less people now but the quality of the person is so much better. Most of the people who left were the cry babies and it left us with all the people who are fun to be around. I will take quality over quantity any day!

Erik,

From a father who has been looking for a comp crawler style car for the family- I like it. It is honestly a bit above my budget, but I know from reading about you that it would be a stand-up product. It's either yours or something like the Mad Torque which has very mixed reviews and would need to be substantially upgraded to approach your quality. I think I'd just save up/wait in line for yours...

Just my 2 cents. Glad I stumbled across this thread. Good luck!

Harvo PM me I'll shoot you some good groups ... FB can be a mixed bag but no different then anywhere else on that aspect. I do find it a bit easier to tag people and get In touch faster.
