Thanks for the kind words guys. I have been running my XR axles since 2012 and I knew if I was going to make the switch I was going to go big or go home. Got some time to test out some Laser cut / 3D printed wheels for the loaded dice. It allows for a true beadlock on the front face and a glued on back face. It might make assembly a bit easier and might be a bit lighter, but I don't have the real deal to compare against so who knows. Clearance to the Dice and everything else seems pretty good. Once I get the axle running an am happy with the fit the faces will go to CF and I will solvent cure the 3D printed part to add some extra strength. I also got some of Will's cool new clear shocks from RCBros. The fit on these is great, and the look good to boot. So far it is looking something like this. Got a couple packages in the mail today so off to crack them open and take more photos |

OK ok, a day late but got the rear end in and snapped some photos. The Nemesis rear axle by Y-Town Crawlers, serial #001. I am told that it is "Strong, yet nimble, like a ballerina with a rocket launcher. " It is very sexy and well built. Lots of custom machined aluminum parts to help tie together the aluminum into the gear case. The few Aluminum pieces have already been stripped off to get anodized. And to help merge the Nemesis with his Dlux counterpart a shiny new chassis, Y-Town Double Agent 2.0. I am waiting for the Nemesis aluminum parts to get done anodizing before final assembly can be started but we will see how far we can get tonight. I have one more trick up my sleeve for this little guy. Maybe I will see if I can get that working tonight. |
