Wink Tom G Back to Berg's

Back to BERG’S
I've always been a Berg Axle fan.

Due to the unavailability of gears especially SD small 2nd & 3rds. I was forced to switch to another brand so I could save my existing HOARD of berg gears for my Super Class Crawler just in case!!
Now that STF gears are available from Dlux (TNX Erik & Robertson Racing)
BTW running these in my Super and could not be happier.

I’m switching back so here are the Spec’s

Chassis & Axles
Chassis is my existing DravTecH (narrowed Cab) SuDu 2.2 Pro
Axles Dlux Super Lites
With Dlux 8mm FAB shafts , Aul. Knuckles, Loaded Dices knuckle weights and G-10 wheels. Narrowed (by me) VooDoos Golds & Blues

Suspension
3/16 & 1/8 Ti 4 link’s by me, 3/16 Ti drag link came with the
Super Lites
& a Lansford 3mm turn buckle
Axial 7mm Icon Shocks with MRC springs internally limited

Electrical Stuff
Holmes 400 Flow motors
Holmes Duel BR-mini ESC’s
Castel BEC
ProTech 170T servo
3’s 450mah Lipo’s
Futaba RX

Since I’m not a fan of threads in Delrin. I machined some Aul. Clamping style 4-link shock mounts out of 7075 T6 also made some of my 1pc 7075 T6 hubs

Talking Re: Tom G Back to Berg's

A little Boredom set a couple of weeks ago and in so since I'm not a fan of threads in Delrin.

I decided to machine some new front tube's for my Superlites out of 7057 T6
Basically just duplicated Dlux's tube design but add my clamping style 4 link / shock mount's.

I was going to Spline the C hub end for Axial Wraith style
Chubs BUT GOT LAZY and stayed with AX-10 Style C hubs LOL

This may change later this winter when cabin fever sets in.
I need to ad some spacer's under servo to raise it up even with bottom of the tube so it does not hang up on the rocks

After they were finished they only weighed .26 oz (7.3 grams) more then the Stock Delrin tubes

Please note I only make these parts for myself I will not make part's for other people

Oh such Heavenly75 beauties! Nice work. You'll never need to make them again barring design change.

Been running Dlux SAF Low Ratio Berg gears in My Super Class Truck for some time now and love them.

Decided to install them in my 2.2 Pro Truck and what a deference in the
drive-ability they made.

This line was previously unmake-able

Drop in to the notch

Push the front part way up the face Then punch it and jump-up

To the top

I never made this line Before installing the low ratio gears the tires would just spin and slide off the face and crash

Cool rims, and even cooler rig. Are the rims just a glue on front face with no back ring and spacers?

I'd assume they are Dlux wheels for the loaded dice knuckle weights.
