$550 for that set up is a little on the steep side, but it is RTR. Id try to get it for somewhere between $350 and $450 if the guy is willing to bargin. The electrics aren't bad... the motors are a little slow in my opinion and you can recoup the $$ difference of actual worth if you sell the twin stick.

and yes this is a good launching point, but in that very same breath I'll tell you that there's alot work that could be done to this to upgrade!

With a stick radio you have instant control over the front and rear axle independently. The left stick controls both axles or just the front if you switch to dig and the right stick (left/right) is steering while (up/down) is the rear motor always. So if you need to add rear for a gap, ledge, or whatever, there is no stopping. You just push your right stick forward a little and the rear motor will spin a little faster regardless of what the front is doing. If you are on a steep climb and your drag brake isn't strong enough, you can just put a little pressure forward on the right stick to hold the car. You never have to stop and hit buttons, it is always instantly there. It is more of a learning curve but once you get comfortable with them the advantages are big.

I think DLux got a video of this crazy line we were running this weekend where you had to traverse a ledge were you had to spin the front tires froward and the rears in reverse that the same time so the car would move left without going forward or backward. (If that makes any sense?) I really don't know if it would be possible without a stick radio? You would never come across a line like this in a comp but it was such a cool line to drive.
