HI

He's arrived and is fonctionnal finally..

This is a complete kit with wheels, ordered at TCS in april, and electronic parts come since few days.

technical parts:
GT3B hacked by Francis63 ( RC Crawler France during the "BIG", the scales and crawlers meeting in France)
2 TEKIN FXR
2 INTEGY 45T motors
BEC Castle Creation programmed in 7.4V
I took 3 Lipos 3S Turnigy de 800 mAh to play some hours
To test the Berg, I put Savox SC 1268SG 25 kg wich wil be replaced by Hitec HS8385TH Premium HV Monster Torque Magnet 34 Kg,

I cut short ABS part to protect and fix Lipo

I try to put on front a maximum of equipments

Like that, I can modify quickly ESC tuning

And the decoration

After 3 hours of unsuccessful tuning, I come back on radio and I succeeded to tune the GT3B with neutral, throttle and quick tune on ESCs. After, I programmed DIG and mixing
First surprise are pins on front axle. The rings move and pins go out. I put some threadlocker glue to try

I try berg tires, but they are too strong. So I change them to losi rock claws, waiting 2 boss claws to the rear, and it's really better

I need to clock the front axle, but I want to try it now, because it's too long time I'm dreaming a MOA

I made 2 Pb weights to equilibrate at 60/40, fixed with hot glue

and the first video

Hi

Thank you
I find it's a good deal: you can go very slowly, but if you need, you have some ressource .
I try one wich is mounted with 35T, it's need more precision to drive slowly but to do junctions between 2 gates, it's better.
On the other hand, I wouldn't try a 55T. I think it's too short

Hi

Some news from the berg

I ordered 2 boss claws for the rear.

but they hadn't the same diameter as rock claws, so I had to change them by the HB rover white

and it's really better

At the last trip, I burned the savox. 25Kg is not enough. So I ordered a Hitec 7950TH, plugged in 7.4V and it's really good, now!

I find the hitec is very hot, but I don't know if it's normal or if there is a problem. I hope that not finish like savox.
The next step is to clock front axle, but I glued screws and it's difficult to extract now and I have to realise new servo support

Hi

it's done
I clocked my axle yesterday.
Thank you Mr Berg, because it's really easy to do

I had to cut a little part from hub

I changed position of steering arm and now, servo does not heat

Now, I'm ready to run

Hi

Some news

Before

and after

And I made a servo protection with 1.5 mm alu

To be conform with crawler rules, I had to make 2 side panels

And a little video

I have modified links positions

and made a rear upper support

I turned delrin tubs for rear. I win 28g

So I have tried that

Hi

And some modifications more

I opened links on supports

And I add nut between shocks and body, because I hate when shock head hurt body.
It's unbelievable. I get 1 or 2 cm more and I had to unscrew the last top screws for the uper links

I had weigh the rear support plastic links

I earned 2.6g. I am surprised by the difference

And, finally, I turned my wheels and earned 20g per wheel

I believe I'll go test the modifications this afternoon

Hi

And some modifications more

I turned new wheels in polycarbonate with 1 side beadlock

internal ring

inside ring

external ring

A good gain

it miss hubs, but they're coming

And the most important modification: the chassis
I used aluminium in 4mm

When I'll valid that, I'll built them with carbon fiber, because they weigh 7g more than the original carbon plate but I think the space gain beneath chassis is really efficiently

I moved lower links at outside of upper links

Hi
Here the following

I made hubs: this is a mix between VP hubs with drilling dimensions and RC4WD because I mill pin mount

I change upper links
I use alu tube in 6x1mm, wich is tap in M5
I turned screw in M5 at one side and M4 at the other to put in rod end

I can get out front wheels weigh and now I 'm at 2,3kg

Default A new BERG Tracer V3

I am using a Futaba 4PL with a 4 channel receiver. I am also running dual ESC. Servo on channel 1, ESC on channel 2 and 3 with middle wire pulled off the plug. BEC on channel 4. I am able to turn my steering but not able to get power to the front and rear motor. Any suggestions?
