I feel incredibly dumber after reading FB crawling pages, not that I was working with much prior.

There is a lot of good but a mountain of dumb.

Dumb doesn't like being pointed out. Doing so will get you blocked from pages. Started out my morning getting booted from one today.

Not the most difficult line, but you can see the weight bias bring that front wheel right down when it needed to on this transition.
Again, I still have 3.4oz to add on if I need it!

Did you do Joel's mod to shorten the tire a little bit too? I see 3 glue seams...

I have a few sets of reduced OD VooDoos (Boss Claw size) and I don’t think
there is any advantage now with the loaded dice type setups getting the weight
down low. I asked Nabil about this the other day and I think he feels the same.

Decided to go with some custom phone dial faces on this set.
I’ll tell you what, not sure if the mold release agent changed
or if it just reacts to this compound different, but that shit is no joke.

Even though I don't have too much time on this rig, the thought of having 1028 oz. of steering torque intrigues me...
Unfortunately another peril of this axle design is that Futaba servos are not a direct swap.
The body is .060" wider than that of a Hitec servo, so some case modification and milling a new clamp is required...
Oh well... More work to come!

Phone dial?? Those are Stubs signature wheels. No center hole and countersunk.

Close!
My big holes are straight through and don't have a bevel.
BTW, it works great on the G10, but not so much on carbon fiber!

Ya, that’s what Erik told me a long time ago. That’s why I always have G10. How are you liking the setup? Is that servo from here or China? Curious how you like it. I’m thinking of getting one from Erik because my 7950 is really old and getting tired. Haha

You'll like that servo. It feels a bit slower than my 2290's and about the same strength. I'll swap it into my sporty and really know for sure how it compares.

You have a knockoff. I want to know about the real thing.

There is only speculation as to authenticity so far. If it's a knockoff it's the nicest knockoff I've ever seen

This one is from the US, but I ordered a Chai-Knees one as well.
I will post once I get it installed, but I have to make a new part from scratch first...
At least I already have a little chunk of Ti to make it out of...

I would suspect the same. Copy cats are lazy, they never go the extra mile.

And it usually takes them a while to reverse engineer the parts...
Very odd if they all hit the market at the same time and were different.

It would be pretty amazing if the copy cat came out before the real deal.

Aww crap, what did I miss out over on Facebook this time?
There haven't been any posts about an AZ Shootout on here!

This car is fully functional right now, just with a 7950.
