Ohio rc scale gurus battlegrounds scale comp 2013!!!!!
 

the ohio rc scale gurus are hosting the scale comp at battlegrounds along with central ohio crawlers!!! it will be slightly different from last years dash for cash. we will follow the SORRCA rules and are running 3 seperate classes. vehicle must be as sacle as possible!!!! there will be multiple challenges and top 3 finishers for the day will receive pirzes!

Dang it, I guess I better get to work on a Class 2 rig. The Wraith falls into Class 3, if I remember correctly.

It's goin to be a good time!

We have been thinking of keeping it simple. It's goin to be a basic trail run with markers and gates. A section where you use your spare and if you don't have a spare you go without lol. There will be a hill climb, and possibly a tug truck.

This will be a 1st of 3 comps the gurus will be holding. It will be a points series and at the last event there will be prizes to the winners for the series. There will be also prizes to be won at this event even if you aren't competing in all 3 competitions.

Like stick said we encourage ppl to make their rigs as scale as possible!!

Hopefully everyone will enjoy this side event to COC's Battlegrounds comp!

June 1st sign up at 10am
$15 first class
$10 each additional class

Oh I figured I would mention you pay for your classes when you sign up/truck inspection. You guys have any questions please post them up!

also, a wraith or for that matter any scale rig with a mamba max pro and 5.5t motor is not scale. had a few complaints last year about the scale rigs not having a chance against the 50mph wraiths. so, with that being said, your vehicle will need to pass tech inspection and be classed by thejudges....

I guess that's a good thing I've got 2 Wraiths, one equipped with a ROC412/MMP, the other is much milder with a 35t/BRXL (may bump to a 27t) that I'm working on.

So how do we know what is acceptable? Never heard of an electronics limit and wouldn't think there would be one especially for class 3.

After talking it over with Stick306 I think we might just let it be open like an outlaw class as long as everyone knows you might be up against some hardcore rigs lol

As for class1 and 2 I don't wanna say there is a limit but we just want it to be a fair/even playing field so if your rig does wheelies and can barrel roll from torque twist you might find yourself in class 3 lol

exactly as mudhoncho said, class 3 is open as long as its a scale rig. however since were sticking to the national rule book, a wraith regardless of the mods, is a class 3 rig because it doesnt have frame rails. all class 1 and 2 rigs have pretty tight guidlines including frame rails.

One question will my tsl's that I ran last year be allowed this year? of course in the class 3 event. Asking b/c I don't really wanna buy a set of tires just to compete in a scale comp."thumbsup"

Are you guys doing scale points or just going by the SORRCA rules to classify the trucks?

scale points will be added to final scores to determine winners for each class.
