I need a laptop for work that can handle some serious graphics intensive tasks; mostly 3D rendering. My budget would be around $2000 and no more than $2500 if I can get away with it.

Requirements:

Quad Core Processor
4GB RAM minimum
1GB video card minimum

I'm currently looking at the ASUS G71:

It meets all my requirements for about $700 less than an identically equipped laptop from Alienware. For about $2000 including 2 years of accidental damage coverage, tt seems a little too good to be true.

I've stumbled across a company called Factor Gaming which has a decent score on Reseller Ratings, but again, for a similarly equipped laptop from them, it's still around $500-800 extra, which might be worth it if the customer service is there.

Anyway, I guess I need input on some other laptop vendors and/or advice on what to get specifically. I'm currently looking at HP. I have a 645 hitec in mine that I love..But I am sure there is a cheaper one that does the same thing. I'd rather put my expensive servo in an airplane I am building...there are never any guarantees in the rc world, but I'd rather have my brandname one on the elevator of my plane, and the experimental cheap one on my truck ! It ain't gonna fall as far as the airplane if things go wrong !
