Been working on this course for a while to drive my jeep on. Built it with wood that I had laying around, rocks I found, and it cost me nothing to build. It has some tricky sections. Takes about 10-15 minutes to complete the course.

My question is on a 1.9 SCX10 axled Wraith built for high speed dirt/gravel/sand bashing and just general KOH style rock bashing would you setup a 4 link system front and rear if you had to run a CMS setup?

My other question is on my 2.2 Wraith setup for crawling would it be better to run a CMS w/ panhard or CMS with 4 link? VP stuff for both rigs of course! "thumbsup"

The reason being is that the current axle housings I have already have the top stems cut off from a 4 link truss I had years ago...

Or would a servo mounted directly on the axle be better for lower CG?

My question is this:

What guidelines are there for a newb like me to follow when he or she is unsure of whether to upgrade his or her motor or to change his or her pinion?

Is this a simple fact of "put smaller pinions until there isn't a small enough pinion, and then get a stronger motor and start over" or is it "get a stronger motor and then find an appropriate sized pinion" or what? Which is better to do first, the motor or the pinion? Is there a way to find a 'good balance' or is this all in the eyes of the beholder, every different person having their own way to decide?

Little confused,

Hi,

I have been busy for couple of days designing a 2.2 axle and differential system for my 2.2 crawler. I was thinking of designing a diff lock unlock system in it and would like to here from people their experience with such a system.

1] What kind of diff lock unlock would you prefer like manually actuated or electronically actuated.
2] What problems have you faced with such kind of diff systems?
3] Would it be a Go or No go to have a diff lock unlock system in your crawler ?

Looking forward to hear it all "thumbsup"
