I put the original wheels/tires on trimmed the hole in the front bar just to tidy it up, re-attached the winch line properly, added a bec and savox servo, removed the lights, lowered the battery tray and moved the elec's around a bit by adding a tray in the rear, trimmed and flipped the rock sliders on the sides and removed a bit of the body and cage under the back for clearance of the elec's.

Hello all,

I'm new to the crawler scene and can't wait to get my new SCX10 Rubicon up and running.....having serious (at least "I" think it's serious) clearance issues with the Hitec 645 servo. I have it mounted on the axle as the instructions say and the first thing I noticed was the servo arm hitting the crossmember. I've searched all the forums and looks like this is a common problem so I shaved the mounts to move the servo back. This is good now BUT I noticed that I can only get about half suspension travel when the axle is articulated on the driver side....with the left side of axle pushed up and the wheels turned left, the top steering rod hits the frame with only half travel!!!!! I didn't see anything in the forums about this problem. The front drive shaft also hits the y-brace with the front left axle pushed up.....is this normal? Everything's built the way the book says...super easy! Just don't understand why there's so much interference up front especially with the axle articulated (left up) as everything hits????

Thanks all for any help!

As the title says I finally got around to installing the Vanquish Currie axles in the scx10 today. I put them together as Vanquish said. everything is new inside. went together great, finally got it on the rocks and man I have lost wheel speed when trying to climb over something, to the point that if its steep and im flex'd I cant even get the wheels to spin. the axles seem to spin easy to me by hand before I installed them. electronics are Tekin FXR, castle BEC, Savox servo, Tekin 35 turn pro motor. Tires are lightly weighted RC4WD swampers and Vanquish OMF wheels. it had plenty of wheel speed and spin off bafore I put these in. Did I do something wrong? maybe something that I cant think that is tight? I reset the FXR and even swapped to Tekin 55 turn and Im getting the same thing. when I was free spinning them before I installed them they felt fine but I should have the same amount of power from as before.

thanks for any input:cry:
