When I realized widening kit was now available for purchase I contacted Tomy to see when his Nordic Crawler Design Losi 2.2s/Sportsman chassis would be finished. He got back to me right away, but unfortunately he informed me that this summer he needed to focus on working on his home, therefore he wasn't going to be able to continue developing it. So I am looking for suggestions with respect to what is chassis is currently available for a Losi Sportman build?

Hi all, I'm just getting back into crawling and I'm making a thread about my chassis and my experiences going from stock to whatever I end up with. I hope that folks will take a look and give me lots of advice based on their experiences. I am going to run in sportsman class and try and learn as much as I can about driving and tuning and then we shall see how it goes.
A wee bit about my skills since crawling has a strong tinkering component to it. I'm ok at tinkering but don't have many tools at my disposal, a cordless drill and a dremel is about it. I'm a bit shy of making changes from stock since I don't know anything about set up, link geometry or any of the other crawler fundamentals. I'll be learning as I go and hope to benefit from your experiences.

My first step will be choosing which chassis to use as my base, I have a (NIB) CCR or a Night Crawler. I am thinking that I will swap the LNC tranny into the CCR and start with that but if you have opinions saying to start with the LNC or keep the CCR tranny sing out, I want to hear what you have to say and why.

Hey all, just getting back into crawling. I am going to build up a basic budget rig and I need some advice. I have an LCC and an LNC, for a sportsman rig is there any reason I shouldn't use the LNC tranny? I remember the ratios were not the same for the 2 trannies. Does one have an advantage over the other? Also when I last crawled rigs were heavy, we were putting weight in the wheels and on the axles, now it would seem that is no longer done, what happened? Does anyone crawl heavy anymore? Why the switch?
