I am going to go 4ws with it as I am waiting on an axle i just bought.
I may just do Y adapter for now.. then maybe independent control later.

so i had a 27t stock axial motor originally and stock tires/rims.

on a scx10 purchase I got heavy tires.. really like them with the heavy jc concepts weights.... but my speed went south and crawling did too..

so i purchased a novak 55t motor.. ok she runs good now but i want some speed back..

so
would it be worth going summit 2 speed? (dont know how i would mount it)

or get a 35t hand wound like I should have originally???

help me decide on which would be best for my needs please?

since it is all backyard.. i want some speed but to crawl around too... but not blistering speed.. "thumbsup"

ok so my ax10 has sat all winter.. been playing with the micros..

so front axle had a lot of wobble and was going to buy aluminum parts but ended up getting axles from HillBillyCrawler (thanks man!) well just bought them so need to wait for them.

once i get them in I plan on swapping stuff around from my foff and ax10 as the foff isnt done..

so i will end up with 2 front axles with aluminum parts to put in the ax10 for 4ws.

so with that out of the way..

I want to run 4ws. I can run the Y adapter but do not want fulltime 4ws.

so my questions on TX/RX...
1. is the flysky gt3b or gt3c still the best choice currently?
2. i know they can be hacked and the sort.. but stock do they do 4ws, crab, etc without the hack?

so that should do for now... ;-)

Hi

I've had an AX10 chassis for quite a while, had it taken apart a few times to use parts of it for other projects, but eventually put it all back together again in order to get a descent crawler next to all my scalers which mostly lack good crawling characteristics due to their nature... .

So I'm currently in the process to "pimp" the chassis a little with lots of aluminum and also had to make a decision on what body I would put on it.

Not being a friend of plain Lexan bodies and because here in Germany everyone seems to get a Wild Willy these days I thought I go for one and adapt it to my AX10.

As I said before, it's still a WIP, so you'll have to be a little patient until I can present the results, but I won't leave you without an appetizer, of course... :ror:
Also I have a Chaotic Ti bent tie rod I found.

Now I'm trying to figure out how the best way to setup my front end steering to give me better turning radius and better durability versus my old BTA setup with Axial CVD's on Gunnar pins. I've seem some XR mods with BTA and some OTA and some just right in front of the axle.

Which do most people go with?

Btw I think this Chaotic Ti tie rod was obviously meant for something else LOL! Looks like for a Wraith maybe?

East End Machining (EEM) skid plates?

While looking for a skid plate for a tuber project that I picked up, I came across two EEM skid plates:

single reverse triangulation

and

double reverse triangulation

Can some one school me on these or give me links to existing threads.
