Tallahassee Comp 5/9/09 and 5/31/09
 

We have two comps scheduled, the first is on Saturday May 9th, 10 a.m. at Tom Brown park. And the other on Sunday May 31, 1 p.m. in front of Chiles High school. We usually do 3 courses with 5 gates plus start and finish gates.

I'll be there.

I found a video from one of the local guy's. This is the spot in front of Chiles high school, this will be the location for the 31st.

It has not changed since that vid was shot & shows that area better than still photos.

I plan to be at both comps and ready to Roc!

If I got will be for the May 5th one, cause sorry not gonna spend memorial weekend crawling but I'll be doing a whole lot of drink that weekend lolol.

Any rules on wheelbase, tire size, 4ws, etc.

Am sure it will be regular USRCCA rules

My truck is Super class. I may just drive over to crawl a new spot and see everyone's trucks though. I'll talk with the other ECC'rs and maybe get a contender. Thanks for the invite btw.

Looking at the park on google earth the park is huge and right next to a jail lololol. And you can also see an rc dirt track.

No the rock is all "packed' in & does not move about. Looks flat but has a lot of places to climb around on. Don't knock it till you tried it.

That is the Womens Fed Prison. It's where a guard opened fire on the FBI when they tried to arrest him on some type of misconduct charges.

That was at the old HobbyTown store & the store has moved & that stuff had to be taken out.

Thanks, that body was donated. I'm too cheap to spend cash on a body and they got tired of my old T4 body.

The spot is fun, it's no mountain side but we don't have too many of those around here. So we do the best we can.

It was O.K. but the area was only about 20 ft long & about 15 ft wide & really flat until someguys brought in the drain tube & rigged up that cable. Just a play area for HobbyTown.

I might be able to bring the cable bridge back to life for the comp, if there is enough interest. :?: It would be temporary.

Mini, I do not know if you were refering to the May 31 comp, but Memorial Weekend is the weekend before not May 31st, May 23-25th is Memorial weekend. "thumbsup"

I hate when calenders share two dates :x... Thank you sir for the correction, I think I might be able to make this one instead of the first one cause of that whole mothers day the next day, we Hispanic down here so it's a little ruff on mothers and fathers day lololololololololol.
