| Would this be good for comp course?
Ok, this is a spot in Florida! Looks pretty sick right? Its Coquina rock. Its super grippy, thats what may deture some, I think. My LCC did great on these rocks. This is only one section, there alot of these sections, but some of them are backyards for beach homes. No body got weird about what I was doing and a few were quite interested. Its in NSB, not that close to me, but some of ya'll know where I'm talking about. I visit about once a month. What are your thoughts? |

| New Smyrna Beach
For all us south Floridians, its still almost 3 hrs to naturally layed out and usable rocks. Its at the beach, so I think it won't live up to trail run standards and you won't see much mud at all. lol Its very natural with plants and what not growing out, and some gaps and holes will eat YOU up, let alone our crawlers. Some sections run up to peoples back yards, some open lots where no house is. I will be going back this week for Thanksgiving, I will do my best to scope it out more, maybe I'll find a good trail for scalers.

Yeah its nice out there I haven't been on the beach but I've ran in port orange and edgewater on the inland sides of the bridge and found some sweet spots also It made for some awesome Lunch breaks In my opinion the spot you found would be a good place for a comp its got: Plenty of room for a course Plenty of parking space (its a beach) ability to change course everytime Looks good to me Last edited by CRAWL UGLY; 11-24-2009 at 12:57 PM. |

I noticed someone looking for a crawl spot by the beach near daytona. I found this a long time ago, but nothings changed. Its Bethune Beach, decent surf too, for FL... This is the northern spot I found, I tended to like this spot more. It ran longer and was quieter. There is an empty lot I park on the edge of, nobody has ever bugged us. We used to build off road tracks on the beach there. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sour....0012&t=h&z=20 This is the southern spot. There is parking and facilities. Condo behind on the dune. Sometimes theres beach volleyball going on. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sour...02401&t=h&z=19 Last edited by Tydl; 04-05-2011 at 02:34 PM. |

| I'm glad you saw this, its sorta a lost spot. Setup gates if you can and take pictures. I would love to see this become another comp spot option. We need more of them. Or atleast another spot to bash. Last edited by Tydl; 04-05-2011 at 02:35 PM. |

I'll make it a point to get out there saturday or sunday. I pretty much suck at setting up courses but I'll see what I can do.

I wish I could join you. With it being 3 1/2 hrs away and ecc next weekend, I can't go outta town this weekend. Just setup some gates and have fun, remember, pics or video are a must. And not just the girls playing volleyball. |
