Re: Sunday, Sunday, Sunday....In Palm Beach County No paint on it yet. Still a lil naked. I am taking the body to my autobody guy tonight to see if he will do it. I could post a pic of the chassis later maybe. |
Re: Sunday, Sunday, Sunday....In Palm Beach County Yes you. |
Re: Sunday, Sunday, Sunday....In Palm Beach County Well... Leave it to my job to throw a monkey wrench in my plans... I just found out that next weekend I need to be at the building from 8am Saturday morning to 10pm Sunday night  We are replacing several old servers and retiring our SAN. So I need to migrate about 950 terrabytes of data to the new SAN, making sure the folder structure from the one being retired is identical, and that all of our applications can access the data seamlessly on the new device.:evil::evil: Some times being IT for a large company really blows... |
Re: Sunday, Sunday, Sunday....In Palm Beach County Nahh just write a couple scripts and monitor it from your tablet. Problem solved see ya there. lol |

And when I said a few servers... a few is in the 300 physical server range all being virtualized on to 2 Hyper V blades. A few months later we will be moving to a smaller cage in the colo due to the reduced footprint. "thumbsup" plus the new SAN. We will be replacing 95% of our South Florida infrastructure (70% of all global infrastructure) over the course of one weekend. I requested a staged deployment, but someone way above me just wants us to "flip a switch and have all of the new stuff running" |
Re: Sunday, Sunday, Sunday....In Palm Beach County The upper management thinking they know what is best in IT happens a lot. Friend of mine tells me all the horror stories from his work about that same scenario. Glad I just build and fix them! |
