Don't worry SRQMINI, that rock won't be in any of the comp runs. We never did a start-to-finish run on any of the comp courses.

I guess from the angel of the camer does not look like it will toss your rig like it did to you guys. Funny thing is that it's always the easy looking gates that do thatt you lololololol

I may have to miss comp 3 A stupid move on my part has cost me my travel money, will probably have to miss Southern Cup too

I was half awake this morning while loading the car to come to work, I left my crawler on the roof. It fell off the car on a busy street, it was not run over, but a 50 mph impact with the ground has it broken. Rocktarded to the core.....

Fingers crossed for some side work in the next few weeks.

Crawler is rebuilt! I am broke I will be looking hard for side work so I can afford the upcoming road trips. Most of my usual clients are unemployed right now though and can not afford to have me come fix their computers.

Yes sir, I am about as dumb as they come....

Southern Cup is still a good ways off. I bet you'll be squared away by then.

That is unless you leave your crawler on top of the car again. WOW!!!
I bet that sucker would of rode up there all the way to work if it weighed more than 6lbs.

Good to hear you got it rebuilt. What was the damage ??

Hitec 7950TH dead, case broken, gears stripped and when I powered it on white smoke, servo horn bent, axial bta bent, both rear straight axles bent.

I straightened the bta in the engineering lab, I replaced the servo and straightened the rear axles, they and the bta plus c's should probably be replaced, but it is drivable. I may have a bend in one of my slw's too....

Thank goodness for a slow work day I have a team practice tonight.

On a good note, the 300's came through with flying colors!

It fell off the roof. I was only quasi coherent this morning and left it on the roof. the rims are fine, The straight axles are a little bent still, and a link end was broken, which I found out when I got to the rocks today.

These are Rock Crawlers not sled pullers or roof jumpers. How did you do before it broke? Full pull out the back door????

As I posted, I broke it when I got home afterwards. There is not really any load on it when pulling. I won the pulls in my class.

The gear was already worn, it has nearly 2 years on it. Mini hasn't had his rig together long at all and has already broken one.

Additionally, finishing at the front of the pack is harder on rigs than finishing in the middle of the pack.

I'll have to disagree, when at the front of the pack you do not spend all that time bound up in holes, upside down, twisted in gaps, beating the crap out of your rig

Trust me, I'm an "expert" on not being at the front

Oh David are you stepping up to play with the big boyz lolol

Well this as has noigthing but something to do with this thread for those that don't know am
in NC right now came up for a comp and boy what a comp it's one of there points series comps and I can see now why the NC boyz come top 10 in all big comps. Straight up serious undercut side hill up and down courses was nuts. Well made it to top 5 and jumped up to 4th when it was all said and done.

Took noted on how they run there comps and one thing am gonna add to ours is how drivers are selected for course running. After the skyway comp running 2 courses made it alot faster and smoother so at the next comp gonna do it the same way but so we don't waist time on whoa going first goons input all the names into a random genarator that will select the running order, then the person with the highest score at the end of the first course will start the second course first followed by the next lowest score and so on. These guys started at 10:30 and were done by 2:00 with everything ran fast and smooth. The order will be posted the night befor the comp also need to know 4 sure 100% who is going kind of like an RSVP so I have the names of the people if you do not post your name and show up you will run the course first that's the penalty.

This should help us run our compa alot smoother and faster.
