Default My new toy.........

Just picked this up. A PUG Badlands 4x4. Hyd dump bed, articulated steering plus it pivots in the middle for the suspension.

Pics of when I found it...................

Looks pretty killer. You gonna rig it up to run from a DX3R or a 4pks?

Are you going to weld up a roll cage for it? Is it just 4wd or does it have lockers and such?

Yes, that thing is badass! It needs the diffs welded, but it climbed a hill last night that was greater than 45*. I was running trees down that were at least 5" thick without slowing down.

No chrome, it will just get beat up. I vote for full cage, recaro's or other seat with great support, 5 or 6 point harness', welded diffs, and some cut tires. Black it all out or paint it UF colors...

Chrome don't get ya home.

Bringing it back home today. Strengthened the pivot joint for the steering with some well placed steel. Had a little bit of wear there. Also fixed the play in the eye on the end of the hyd steering ram. Steering is nice and tight now.

Really only thing left is to fix the hyd. brakes although the cable operated driveshaft brake that serves as the parking brake works fine. I'm sure the brake master cyl will need to be rebuilt, probably all 4 wheel cylinders as well.

Oh.............................it still needs tires. 3 hold and 1 needs air daily. About 75 apeice it looks to be for good tires. 26x12x12 is not the most common size apparently.
