I got my Dig installed and need to hit the rocks!!!!! Anyone going tomorrow?

Mdlopez1 09-07-2011 05:15 PM

I got experimental with my tranny and I need to abuse the truck on some rocks to test it... Is anyone open for Sunday at the Sanford crawl zone? I was thinking about a 9:00am get together.

iamsuperbleeder 09-07-2011 07:16 PM

I'll be in Casselberry not this weekend, but the next weekend (17th and 18th) more than likely. So we'll have to meet up out there for sure so I can run my SCX!

version_three 09-07-2011 07:44 PM

I'm good for a couple hours sunday morning unless something major comes up in the next day or two.

iamsuperbleeder 09-07-2011 07:50 PM

where exactly is this spot? can someone do a google maps pinpoint thingy showing where it's at exactly?

Yep, the rocks are up under the overpass there by the ramp.

iamsuperbleeder 09-07-2011 10:44 PM

looks like a little further down I'll have an area to test out how well my recent water proofing worked out too

Whenever we get a decent amount of rain over there, we end up with a mini river running between the parking lot and the overpass - it's great for scalers "thumbsup"

iamsuperbleeder 09-09-2011 07:28 PM

hey out of curiosity, how old are you guys?

not that it matters, just wondering if I'm in the age group

droppedls4dr 09-09-2011 09:09 PM

hey Ive got a stock(just bought it an hour or so ago) honcho and was wondering if it will fair well out there? I wouldnt mind heading out there sunday morning since I go to the indoor track out in lakemary to drift....

Would like to find some cool stuff to play in.

iamsuperbleeder 09-09-2011 09:51 PM

you should come out next weekend, the 18th :D that's when I'll be in town. it'll be the fist time I'll officially have my lightly modified Honcho on the rocks. the only thing not stock on mine is the home made links, 100mm shocks, and cut tires. other than that, it's stock; stock RTR electronics (although they've been water proofed), stock motor, stock gearing, stock servo, everything

version_three 09-09-2011 10:00 PM

There is plenty that a stock honcho can get into out there. There have even been some folks out with bone-stock ax10s that still found plenty of stuff to run on.

I'll be out there by 9 on sunday with my comp crawlers to run a couple packs. I'll have gate markers too if anyone wants to set up a course or two.

AsILayDying 09-10-2011 05:53 AM

@Version you are going there this sunday so tomorow right? Ill head out there too. Im finishing up the stretch on my Dingo its out to 13 1/4" WB to fit a New Bright jeep.
@dropped As for the Honcho working well out there, it really does great even stock. There were many spots I didnt think I could get to but it did and I was very happy with it, I believe you will too.

@iamsuperbleedeer As for the 17th or 18th, Sundays are usually way better for me because of College football on Saturday. superbleeder, Ill definately head out there with yall on that weekend. Just let me know what ya want to do. We all like to meet there pretty early like 8:30 or 9 am so its not super hot. Just let us know what the plans are

Version, just pm me or text me let me know about tomorow. "thumbsup"
